So here it is March 2026 in AO. Im thinking about changing my Engy from pistol to grenade and have to ask Why PDKP and Infused Dust Brigade Engineer Pistol that seems to be most favored. Why not Prohibited Hand-Mortar of Bacam-Xum?

Pistols are more DD if you are min maxing. But the new grenade weapon from subway is awesome. Grenade is way more unique too. Also if you want to PvP, pistol allows you to use a few different options where grenade is pretty limiting in pvp. If you just PvM, grenade is way more stylish. Below is a fully min/max grenade DD pvm setup.

Swapping from pistol to grenade always feels tempting, but it really comes down to what you value more. Pistols still win if you’re chasing pure damage and flexibility, especially with more viable setups and better PvP options. Grenade, though, has that unique feel and looks way more fun in PvM.
