Maybe an extra 5 more mins would be a good spot imo. Right now its just a minor inconvenience.

Much of the survival aspects have been pruned or outright removed from this game with some time quite a long time ago.
yeah for sure, its so fun to have to stop 4mb for 4 mn, unless for people that have infinite time, night are already too long survival aspect of the game should be in other aspect. so big no, and night should be shorter in my personal advice.
Darkness adds at least to pvp a degree of protection and opportunities for stealth and scout play. For pve it adds to the atmosphere and could even be added to with night creatures as in ones that come out a night. They could just add more ways to mitigate darkness. Lanterns used to be planned years ago for this game even ones that could be worn on the side of your armor to keep your hands free (no need for a torch).
no for pvp its simply loss of time and not fun at all, if a pvp player need to have night it will cast darkness to help him protect his base, again with a limited time, there is no fun to watch a black night screen and this not where element of survival gameplay should be to have something enjoyable in my opinion
There are helmets and potions that help with darkness. Night time in pvp also could allow for ambush opportunities.
You should try playing Siptah, where night goes on far longer than needed and you cannot see your hand in front of your face.

Yeah, night time makes the game harder, and youâre playing a survival game⊠it should be a given. We should be cowering at night just like our ancestors did. Itâs a part of life, and right now its too short to mean anything.
its a game, and game should be enjoyable, and have to stop 50% of time, even in, ypur base because too dark is a NO, (with light not working) survival elements should be in chracter progression and diffucltiy with weather and armors diversity and npc, as it was in past, but not about watching a black screen and stop for 50% of time. that is not the right direction for a game unless you want it limited it only for rp players, and conan has more gameplay mode than that
Torches are very cheap to make.
I wonder if the unspoken issue is that torches also take a hand to use leaving out many weapons when fight at night or you are simple left in the dark. Many donât want to take the time to farm legendary helmets or night vision potions.
