We are disappointed, a company that does not prevent problems with software? Will the player follow such a policy by risking losing?
I know there are many players who have lost their bases just because of this problem. and these are the players who worked for over 2 thousand hours.

I was unfairly banned and this has nothing to do with funcom. So why would funcom make such a decision?
What is a VAC BAN? How can I get rid of it if I have it?
VAC bans are an anti-cheating thing for Valve/Steam. It’s the same general idea as BattleEye. Get caught cheating in one game, get banned from every game protected by that system.
Such systems can be necessarily heavy handed though. Cheaters are by nature a sneaky bunch of pathological liars, after all. But I’m not so sure that what we’re seeing here was Funcom’s intention.
Oh, and as for getting rid of it if you have it, the short answer is that you can’t. VAC bans are permanent and non-negotiable. They cannot be appealed. Your only hope is that they determine in the future that whatever it was that got you flagged was an error, in which case they’ll automatically remove the ban. But I wouldn’t count on that. (As I said, it’s pretty heavy handed.)
I am having the same issue after the update and family share is off, restarted Steam and PC after verifying files and still getting authentication error! This needs fixed ASAP!!!
If your steam account has a vac ban on record from any game period, you can no longer join official servers on Conan after the update.
Not a VAC ban, and it is my personal server. Even if someone does have a Vac ban that should not prevent them from playing this game…especially if they were playing it and now after the update they can’t.
Yeah, if my understanding of VAC is correct, the VAC ban only applies to servers that specifically check for a VAC ban. You can still play on servers for VAC enabled games as long as the server has that option disabled, which typically means unofficial servers.
This is all assuming, of course, that it really is VAC causing this issue.
I don’t think anyone knows for sure what is causing this, hopefully it gets resolved soon.

vac ban acts only on the game in which it was given, do not deceive people.
if there was a fraud with the purchase of the game, the vac ban is given to account too

Ever since this update today anytime I try to join official server #6105 I get “Authentication Failure” with a lovely Xbox controller logo I’ve never seen before. I’ve never installed an xbox controller on my PC, used one and I do not understand why it’s associated with a rogue error message. I re-installed Battleye, verified integrity of my Conan files and this error is relentless!!!
Also I am not trying to access the game with “Family Share” I own the game and expansions on the account I’ve been using to play. However, I have in the past used family share with Conan so now I’m wondering if there is some residual data associated with my account triggering a false family share connection or something. I hope someone has a magic wand because this is bs.

Not before tomorrow in their country Norway its middle of night and Funcom does not have 24/7 serivce its 9-5 M-F I am pretty sure.
Having the exact same issue man ,i’ve tried reinstalling the game ,battleye and anything you can really just dosent seem to let me join any server no matter what

I have 1 Vac ban from over 3000 days ago, running gun game mod on MW2… thats it and its literally almost 4000 days old. After the update today I get authentication failed on my account when connecting to official servers. When I logout and use my wife’s the game loads fine.
This is a bit of an overzealous move and I’m going to write a letter to the Tederal Trade Commission so someone at Funcom can explain to Uncle Sam how they justify ripping people off. Goodbye Conan, was fun while it lasted. I’ll definitely never buy another Funcom product again.
Before you write that letter, you might want to take a stab at reading the EULA.

Same here I just sent Steam a letter demanding a full refund of the game and dlc and I owned every DLC
