for a few days people on my server fall through foundations or run through walls? Is this a known bug?

I imagine it is known as it has been posted by more than one or two people.
I myself have issues with horses at least falling through foundations.
If I had to guess, this is not an easy fix and is not easily replicated as certain circumstances have to be in place to trigger it which have not been found yet.
It’s not that they don’t know by now imo, just that it’s hard to figure out why and how then how to employ a fix.
On my single player game, it happens all the time, but not always, sometimes things just load correctly and the problem goes poof, then on the next load up they have sunk down into the floor again.
Try doing a search you will see 40 or so threads on the same subject.
Yes, it is a very known bug.
The dev team is working on it, but after the Nemedian foundation failapalooza awhile back, they are expressing some caution with a roll out on a potential fix.
In the meantime, it is as well documented as it is vexatious.
