Dear Funcom and Inflexion Games teams,
I would like to submit a feature request for Conan Exiles Enhanced Edition.
Request:
Please consider adding airtight building pieces that displace or remove water when placed. This would allow players to create proper sealed underwater bases. Additionally, it would be fantastic to have strong magical building pieces that combine durability with transparency. For example, pieces that look like ancient stone on the edges and frame, but feature a glowing magical effect in the center that makes the middle fully transparent like glass. This would let players create beautiful, durable windows while maintaining the game’s fantasy aesthetic. High-quality glass variants would also be welcome.
Lore Connection:
This concept is deeply rooted in official Conan lore. In the ancient Thurian Age, the advanced Atlantean city of Netheria was protected by a massive magical dome made of an unknown transparent, glass-like substance. The priests used sorcery to seal the city airtight. When the Great Cataclysm struck and Atlantis sank, Netheria remained fully intact and descended into an undersea cavern, with its people still alive inside.
While this knowledge was largely lost with the fall of Atlantis, the Exiled Lands are already full of rediscovered ancient secrets. Just as the Serpent Men brought the powerful magical gem from the Isle of Siptah to the mainland (which corrupted the Tower and unleashed chaos), fragments of Thurian Age sorcery could plausibly have reached the Exiled Lands through ancient Serpent Men, Lemurian relics, or forgotten Stygian/ Acheronian excavations. A future religion or sorcery update could introduce a new knowledge branch where players rediscover or reconstruct this “Netherian Seal” magic, allowing exiles to apply the same principles directly to construction.
-
It would open up an entirely new style of building and exploration.
-
Underwater bases could finally feel functional, immersive, and visually stunning.
-
These magical transparent pieces would give players more creative freedom while perfectly fitting Conan Exiles’ sword & sorcery theme and the game’s tradition of unearthing lost ancient powers.
Thank you for your continued work on the game. I believe this addition would be very well received by the community and help deepen the connection to Robert E. Howard’s original universe.
