Feedback on combat system

Please. change combat system…
every update i come to Conan and feel worse and worse.
i loved this game back in the days, because it was interesting to fight .
The gap between skill players and unskill players is too small now. I want to play game that reward my efforts

  1. now u dont realy need to aim at all. u just goes katana\claws\2h Hammer\ 2h Axe… press shift+W and make dash attack with a huge aoe. all you need to.IT IS TOO EASY AND TOO BORING… even without Q lock on target

2.stamina and movespeed is too big for pvp . much more easy to kite someone. back in the days u have to know attack range and timings for every weapon. now it is not so much needed.

  1. agility weapons > str weapons in pvp (fast roll, more stamina, light gear u can get) it is easy to outplay enemy who have str build. Last update with skill points was realy good (no joke)

  2. the game forces me to pick up the simplest weapon that doesn’t require any skill. And the weapons that require skill and have interesting mechanics don’t reward you for your efforts in any way
    only two weapons are competitive and require good skill. These are the gladius and the bow. and both of these weapons are agile…

Pve is easy enough
.. it always was.. make combat system harder for pvp players. since u dont have realy hard bosses like in darksouls or wukong or… whatever

back in the days u realy did it every patch.. u changed weapons animations. u delete\add new weapons (i remember crossbow)

By the way combat system in DUNE was realy sweat at release !!! but there is no situations in the game where u realy need to fight someone with weapons, sadly.

Seems like no matter what the developers do, nobody will ever truly be happy. Fact is, the current state of PvP has had more variety in weapons and armor than ever before.

Remember when it used to just be spear or bust? It was literally just heavy attack spamming and not a single other weapon was viable. What about right after it got nerfed too far and it became warhammers only?

Either way, Conan’s combat has never been very in depth, so I’m not exactly sure what you really want. Sprint attacks are an amazing addition and yeah, they might be spammed a bit, but that’s what happens with dodge roll spamming games. Kinda have to close the gap with nearly every dodge.

You say you don’t get rewarded for your efforts, but that’s entirely subjective, and I personally think PvP is in one of the best states it’s ever been in. It’s not perfect, but nothing ever is. Strength can do just fine.

The stamina cost on some weapons is still a bit high and some of the strike angles are better than others.

Long gone are the days of everyone playing “Pokey, pokey, mate!” with spears. PvP has evolved and players need to evolve with it. If running attacks are a problem for you. Start working on a counter. One that takes full advantage of the fact that they leave them selves wide open after the swing. Use those rolling i-frames to your advantage
