You too @Xevyr ? Ffs…
Anyway…

(And no, someone morbidly obese isn’t attractive unless you have a kink. Liking the morbidly obese shape is not like prefering blondies…Have some sense. Corpses are attractive for necrophiles. That doesn’t mean suddenly we should consider them fair game! Not all beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. There’s a spectrum with more or less defined boundaries, from what most humans find attractive, less attractive, neutral, repulsive, etc. This is all beyond studied, at least it was pretty much a closed deal until ideology started replacing science.)

Going back to this reply, I’d say THIS is the problem… your entire argument is about taking away the choice by saying any time a developer includes body types that aren’t part of the stereotype is movement in the right direction, yet your final words are about being given a CHOICE. So which is it? Choice or no choice? Developers have removed the choice by giving a character many might not care for, in favor of appeasing a small and loud minority. Yet you’ve stated here that you WANT choices… so the only sure-shot way to resolve this is exactly what we’ve been saying the whole time: GIVE US MORE BODY OPTIONS. That’s the whole argument, not what appeases a minority group or a group that doesn’t even play the game but wants to complain about it all the same. I commend SF6, Dragon’s Dogma, Black Desert, etc. for their robust body customization options. If someone wants to play a certain body type, let them. The problem is that the industry, specifically the western industry, has removed much of that choice. THAT is where the problem lies… not all this other fluff argued in between.
EDIT: I just thought about it… All those examples of great body customization come from games developed in Asian countries. How ironic that a region that gets criticized for their portrayal of female characters ALSO has created some of the best options for diversity in character creation.

There’s a reason the Silent Hill nurses are popular I think?

Well, no I didn’t cuz you see… it makes no sense
Even in your weird example… those necrophiles in question might find one corpse SUBJECTIVELY more attractive than another… but I think that’s enough of that topic…

Well, whatever. It’s too late to explain anyway. See you later, dude.
The video can do whatever it wants.
This one is not above co-opting someone else’s tools to see their own desires fulfilled.
It’s not like we’re talking of a nuclear weapon, or blade covered @#$& like was used in the movie Seven. There are certainly some items that there can be no ethical use for. If someone wants Wheyfu to step on them, sure fine, good for them.
This one will happily piggy back their own hopes in, if they can be snuck in the door that Rhea Ripley just kicked down.
This one literally doesn’t care if their pen is woke granola munching pen or a neo-fascist xenophobe pen. Does it write the letter this one needs to send? Fine, good, done. The pen can cozy up with styluses and pencils after hours if it wants, or it can join the pens crafted pens club. This one gives not enough of a solid post consumer product to fill a stool sample shot glass.
While there is sympathy that sometimes it seems like we have died and instead of going to devil, we are instead in a Bizarro world where things are always just a little to left or right of making sense, this one doubts any major social movements are going to be impactful, or impacted, by what happens here.
So if someone wants their digital y chromosome free pixels to have more meat and less jiggle… Meh?
Who cares? No is asking for all the characters to go into the androgyn-o-matic and lose their secondary sex characteristics (altho can we get any other male NPCs with clucking facial hair please? Only the Golem Guy and old Merc? Really, why Funcom, why have you shaved the majestic Nord beard? Den, you’ve got that rustic scruff going on, and Andy, your jaw curtain is majestic, please, do something…).
It’s not like anyone is asking for eunuchs (altho those are probably a thing in the Hyborian Age, and anyone getting Exiled may have already had their peaches pruned as further punishment).

Eff’ sake, I set this effing thread to “normal” instead of “muted”. Serves me right.
Hmmm, I don’t know. Let’s see what I actually wrote:
But if that’s too many words for you, let’s look at what you wrote:
Still too many words? Here, let me narrow it down:
Now, in what universe does the word “include” mean “to take away” or “to remove”?
Look, if you and @MarcosC are going to cling to your own preconceptions and prejudices, that’s your choice. But the least you could do is put in some actual effort instead of stooping down to outright bullshіt.
At least @MarcosC had the decency to run around the field with the goalposts in hand, instead of flat out denying that the ball was in play

Tell that to western gaming industry. They’ve REMOVED the choice. The video above hasn’t exactly discussed what they’ve done thus far. There’s a lot more “normal” proportions in western games nowadays. It’s gone the other direction… again, with no options for choice. Seen GTA5? You literally can’t create a female with much curviness… she LITERALLY looks like a man in drag, no matter how hard you try. Developers should not be trying so hard to subvert a stereotype that they remove it altogether.
Again… we want choices… not be forced into one thing, whatever that “one thing” might be.

@CodeMage nope.
You are wrong.
Nobody objects diversity and inclusion.
We are all for greater freedom of character customization.
What we object is the forced replacement of beautiful female heroes by uggly ones, just for the sake of misguided social justice.
You don’t believe there’s such thing as an ugly woman, therefore I can only conclude your aesthetic generosity is beyond divine.
We lowly mortals have preferences that vary inside a spectrum of characteristics widely shared accross all humankind. The exceptions confirm the general rule.

lol… yeah… SF6 is the same. There’s some horrific monstrosities you can create. All it took was a demo for your worst nightmares to come alive. The internet is a scary place…
Hey now, down this road lies people posting their Cyberpunk characters, and that will quickly get this thread closed as a prawn farm.
