A few suggestions to fix pvp raiding.
At the moment it is far too easy to raid a base.
Building a base is far too easy.
Basically having a base is pointless.

To fix this

Harvest multiplier x1
Will ristrict players building massive structures in a matter of minutes.

Remove emcumbrance beast of burden.
Stops raiders showing up with unlimited explosives and being able to run away with all the loot inside.
Also stops builders building big quick.

This makes bearers useful and making sure you have prepared enough.

A raid should not be easy.
Building a fortress should not be easy.

These changes would makebit more exciting at harvest spots like the brimstone lake.
More risk/reward factor.
You would need to go with a bearer or 2 and horse to harvest.
And it would create real pvp moments when people are out harvesting more bumping into each other.

Also keep the old purge. It makes it more beneficial to players who build realistically to get a purge. Not a tower base floating ontop of a mountain with no entry point.

At the moment the game is unrealistic and not really a survival game.

You should be starting off by building a sandstone base just big enough to fit stations in. Then gradually upgrade. And that time its took to upgrade slowly should be rewarded by the defence benefits.

Ive went for a castle build with a surrounding wall. Nothing ugly. Easy to navigate. Defender thralls at posts around or ontop of my base.
It is raidable with these suggestions but you would have to plan and it would be like doing a dungeon. I would not mind if i got raided because i would know a skilled player or someone who planned deserved it. Not just join the server the day b4 and rack up explosives,run over and blow right throw in minutes.

At the moment its disheartening when hard work loses soo easily.

Please make elevators optional for private use or open.

This is how raiding/PvP is done on a hardcore private server.

Spam place bombs 15 meters away at the enemies and their buildings.

If I understand correctly, you think both base-building and raiding are too easy now. So people build bases quickly, and raiders blow them up quickly. There’s a sort of balance there.

Per your suggestion, base-building should take a lot more time. But, except for the fact that bomb-farming would also take longer, you’re not making many suggestions to making raiding harder. It sounds like people would just need to spend a lot more time building bases, and preparing for raiding, meaning less time for the actual raiding/defending part. Effectively, less PvP.

Except, of course, the part where you can attack people who are harvesting resources. That has always been popular among PvPers - attacking people who are ill prepared to fight back.

This sounds to me like people would end up less motivated to build bases at all, because it would take a lot more time and effort.

Its all either destroyed too fast or build too fast. But destroyed alot quicker i think.
I think if you spend time harvesting enough to build a strong base it shouldnt be destroyed by someone who does not have a main base at all.
I would of thought the goal would be to make raiding a team effort to break through a fortress.
Not a solo player who can just farm explosives and wait for the enemy to be offline and blow through a base in minutes.

There is no balance.

And all defences can be wiped out by trebs from miles away.

Its not exactly pvp if you are offline. Its just someone destroying someones work.

Im just wanting balance. Give players who build a strong castle some sort of castle defence. It would make it more fun for the player trying to get in. There isnt any skill once you know how to craft explosive jars and carry 100s at once.

Just make bearers a must for harvesting or raiding.

Improve ai for castle defence.

Make farming more fun. Like have a world boss garding a big supply of materials. Like the spider hordes gossamer or the brimstone lake boss guards a huge supply of brimstone.

It would be more fun bumping into enemies fighting over materials to build/raid.

If the changed the purge back and had named thralls only come on purges it would encourage players to build sensibly to get the benefits of named thralls through a purge.
Not a box up a mountain.

I think trebs are cool but when people can carry sooo much explosives in one go its too powerful.

Remove encumbrance perks. Make bearers a must for raiding. It would make it much more realistic. Or introduce a cart or wagon for the horse. To carry supplies. But only like 10 demon jars at once. Atleast then you could maybe spot someone showing up and stocking jars on a treb.

Nah thats not looking like fun to me. Placing bombs miles away. Id prefer it being realistic. If i wanted that id play a shooter like cod or something. I started conan as a survival game in the conan universe. I enjoy the dungeons and building up. And i like the combat. Id like a pvp or a raid. Thats more like fortnite.

You can even do that whilst falling/double jumping.

Raiding just boils down to go double jump + beast of burden in heavy armor, shoot explosive arrows on the ground so you can spam place explosive jars 15 meters away into the fire to instagib your opponents.

Yea we got attacked last night. The guy was running around full speed placing explosive jars everywhere and melted through our defence wall. Double jump is an absolute joke. You can jump 3 foundations and pull yourself over a fence.
It was like we wer defending against cheaters.
Found out daggers and dodging is a nightmare to fight against with a slow 2handed weapon. The one hit i landed at the cost of all my stamina did nothing. He was crippling me,making me bleed and taking a swig of potion inbeetween.
We did somehow defend at the cost of a few thralls. Lvl20 berserker lasted seconds against a summoned group of spiders.
Basically we got hit with rverything and these guys started the server a day ago. Im sure our base will be gone tonight.

Just balance the game. Seems to be zero defence. Its soo easy to balance. Stop players on both sides of raiding exploiting.
People workkng on this game seem pretty daft. Got a good idea of a game but noone will be wanting to play soon.
Id rather go back to playing shooter games.

Yeah, no exploits whatsoever. All those top-class players who’ve been banned for using illegal macros or other performance-enhancing software have been unfairly banned.

The only way to balance PvP is to remove PvP. In any other format, there will always be an advantage on the side who has more time to play, or more friends, or more skill, or more knowledge on how to optimize resource gathering.

Can’t beat it, so must destroy it. I agree that I don’t want my play time to override my work time. Anybody who has more time than that is (A) pushing the issue or (B) fracking the entire game.

[For now, we can say fun is in game, but it kinda got lost here in the forums (or maybe too much).]
