Foals can't be tamed

Horses can’t be tamed, we feed the foal with vegetation and seed but anything append or be produce, we did with a stack of 600 fibers. I talk with other players and it’s the same for them.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

Jaill, I cannot reproduce what must be a frustrating problem, sorry you are experiencing it.

One of the reasons I can’t help is that you gave us very little to work with. The form at the top of the page helps tremendously.

Growing the foal should consume exactly one piece of food.

I can it reproduce it either. I have reared several foals with no issue.

Please provide, as stated above, more specifics so that we can attempt to help you.

You have to put it in a stable, not a regular pet pen (just in case that is the issue).

At this time, we are all guessing. I suggest we wait until we have more information to work with or we could drive him in the wrong direction.

My foals tame but they do not consume the food, this is on a public server. Takes about 6 hours and then when I log in, after putting the horse in a base, it’s vanished, happens everytime - lost 4 horses, their armor and what they were carrying.

Firstly thanks for replying guys, i don’t have time, but when i will have i will try to make a video to show you what happens.
Otherwise i don’t know what to say to explain how to reproduce, but i just capture a foal, i put it in the structure which permit the taming of animals, i put the foal at the first bar, i put 600 vegetables fibers at the second bar but anything happen

Do you use the ‘normal’ animal pen (that has 5 places) or did you put it in the stable that can take up exactly one horse?

Is it official or private modded server? All the mods break Followers feeding system. It’s not modders’ fault, it’s Funcom problem. But Followers shouldn’t die of hunger now, Funcom switched this feature off. Were your horses standing on foundations? Followers fall through foundations from time to time but they are still alive down there and one can get them back if one breaks foundation piece.

Hey, @jaill, when you say “the structure which permits the taming of animals”, do you mean the the animal pen or the stables?

I place the horse in a animal pen
And i test with a gazelle and it work
So i don’t know why not for the horse

Because stables are the structure you need to use for taming horses. You need to unlock the Stablemaster feat in the Survival category:

Once you have unlocked the feat, you can craft the stables at the carpenter’s bench. Place the stables just like you would a wheel of pain or an animal pen. Put the foal in the stables, put one appropriate food item inside (e.g. fiber or berries or Asura’s Glory) and wait for the horse to be ready

It’s on an unmodded offical server. My horse got stuck on the roof of my base, after I died and got unstuck I could not access the horse anymore.

I built on ground and now it works.
