That’s exactly what I mean. At least the game lets you use it during that session on your private world if your internet is down as far as I’ve tested but if you happen to enter to the game while you have no internet or the server is down good luck.
Got pretty dissapointed when I found out about it. And what get to my nerves is that you don’t see any warning about it. You can expect more or less the store obviously not working and such but not having access to the things you already paid for is ridiculous.
FOMO shops keep player engagement up. Some people will log in every day, or at least more often, just to keep up with the shop. If you know you can get it any time there is much less urgency to buy it. That’s just how microtransactions work.
Same. I just loaded the game up after good long break and it’s awful. The bazaar is over priced garbage. These servers could barely handle the building assets they had three years ago when I played last and now they’ve added more and not fixed any of their major day one bugs. Funcom never changes.
Idk man, some people are maybe foolish enough.
I only buy what i really want and ignore the rest.
The last time i purchased something was when chapter 3 dropped, and nothing since.
Some things are very beloved and i think it would make sense to have them permanently in the store.
There are also some people which didn’t play for a while or even completely new to the game.
They maybe would buy stuff from earlier ages but they can’t.
On the other hand i‘ve seen multiple posts where people claimed “I completed every BP and bought EVERYTHING from the bazaar”.
I don’t even know how to interpret what the bazaar represents.
Is it the last attempt to milk what’s left of the community for all its worth?
Or are there really so many people who buy all this?
I really don’t think the servers are having trouble with it. This has been discussed before. Some people’s clients may have trouble, or consoles may, but this game runs great on my system, and any lag I do get I have no reason to attribute to placeables or streaming assets or anything.
Says to me development is alive and well on this game which is all that matters. MechWarrior Online has also seen a surge in development late in its cycle. Games like this don’t need to be deadweight languishing for years until the servers are just shut down.
