Upcoming EU legislation, possibly. Lootbox/Gacha-based games are already counted as gambling in some countries, and there seems to be a movement within the EU consumer rights organizations to expand this interpretation further.

Whether this affects “trading card games” and “mystery collector figurines” or only digital lootbox systems remains to be seen.

And this is where you go wrong. You’re pretty much always misassume my motivation. I meant your post was off topic, I could legitimately flag it, but that ain’t me. As a good share of the posts on here could be.

But then look at me. I posted on topic with a well worried little chide, yet some one took offense and flagged it. Thus the rules are open to a wide range of interpretation. Like I said thin skin and rhino hide.

It is both and a case proven on how dangerous when greed is doing talking over actual content. But im sure their monetization expert is very smort. Who ever this person is.
