Funcom Aquires Property

So you may have heard the news that Funcom squired the ful rights to Conan properties. This opens many doors for Funcom and mostly gives them so much more freedom to be creative with the property, as in little to no restrictions now.

What would you like to see?

My first idea would be to consider a crossover…Red Sonja perhaps? Some kind of narrative there? Or quest?

What are your suggestions?

I suggest they stick to canon as much as reasonably possible.

Red Sonja is a property of Marvel and thus they do not own the rights to her.

Red Sonya of Rogatino however IS a creation of Robert E. Howard and thus would be possible. This is not the chain mail bikini wearing person you are thinking of, however she was the inspiration for Red Sonja.

  1. A Rankin-Bass-style origin story for Conan. Animated, child-friendly.
  2. Conan Chop-Chop cartoon and action figures, bobbleheads.
  3. Thundercats-style PG-13 Conan Exiles Animated series.
  4. Conan Exiles desk toons: an action figure that registers your character’s in-game health state, emotes and more. Deaths require some reassembly.

But in all seriousness, I wouldn’t be surprised if something like that happened, just look at Disney, Marvel etc… when they get their hands on something, they squeeze it until there’s not a single drop left.

Well I won’t look at it so cynically myself. To me, if it shoehorns people into trying Conan Exiles, I’m delighted. The proof is in the playin’.

I do want that Action Figure, very much!
