I’d say that’s absolutely correct in these open world sandbox kind of games. There is limited content of which most if not all is easy. Repetitiveness is really the only thing to keep a person going. Heck you could even say the same about pvp - it’s the same stuff over and over again. Kill, blow up, loot crap.
It’s all in how much a person can keep repeating it.
Yeah perhaps. But if the alternative is a guaranteed result for individual content (example, the boss crocodile at Priest Kings retreat will 100% always drop only one specific legendary) we will end up with only a small few specific bosses or content played for the meta gear and meta builds. Hey maybe people are ok with that, I can’t say. But it would seem any content made after that would hold less value if there was no greater reward for it. And if Funcom added a new boss that dropped a new OP weapon, older content would never be played.
It’s tough I think to find that happy medium, and I also think at this stage I don’t see Funcom making a drastic chang to how things go.
