Hi I’ve just returned to Conan Exiles I see the new launcher It loads fine for me on steam. I gifted it to my friend on steam he downloaded it he goes to open it from steam but the launcher opens for like 2 seconds then closes No Error message. He’s Verified files, Updated Graphics Drivers he’s opened it from the Properties file (steamapps) He even cleared 100GB on that SSD. Any Ideas?

You should be able to launch CE directly from the following location:

[DRIVE]:\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Binaries\Win64

From there run the ConanSandbox_BE application.

As for the launcher, there used to be an error with 11th gen Intel CPU’s, but it was fixed some time ago.
The workaround below may still be of help however:

Open File Explorer.
Right Click on “This PC”
Choose Properties
Select Advanced System Settings
Select Environment Variables
Select New under System Variables
Enter the following:
Variable name: OPENSSL_ia32cap
Variable value: ~0x200000200000000
Hit Okay

A reboot may be necessary for the changes to take effect.

We just shut the launcher off and use the button in the task bar
