This is the simplest and fastest way to counter nearly all cheaters who use it to create undermesh and floating bases.
Of course, it’s not the ideal solution (especially for PvE/RP players), but since we can’t code the game any other way—and I’m not a developer, so I wouldn’t presume to tell them to “code better,” not knowing how complex it is.
The official PvP servers are a veritable Wild West of cheaters and hackers. We, the legitimate players, try to play by the rules and have neither the desire nor the time to track down these cheaters by exploiting game bugs.
So please, remove this item from the game, which, in any case, serves no real purpose other than providing a gateway to the bases under the map and the flying bases…
Ummm I use them lots in PvE scenarios and infact want more options.
While I can appreciate the need to regulate them for pvp undermeshing reasons, I don’t agree the draconian method to just nuke them from orbit.
One thing CE has taught me is that cheaters going to cheat regardless of what fixes come out. You got people literally grinding away to find exploits after each revision to the game. I’ve just accepted it as part of PVP anymore. Dupping, undermeshing, sky bases, thrall exploiting, rendering spams….it’s just overwhelming to the point that it’s no longer fun to PVP as everyone in pvp defends their own exploiting while condemning others.

The arms race between fixing and finding exploits cannot be won without gutting a game to a game like chess or checkers. Humans are too smart and competitive for that.
If one removes drawbridges, chakrams and all the other stuff that annoys people, there wouldn’t be much left in the end.
My conclusion to that is to avoid PvP games/servers, and I’d advise any game company against creating a very complex game like Conan Exiles with PvP in mind.
But as Funcom already went down that road, removing some very exploitable elements may still be the least bad move. Would it, for example, be possible to only disable some building pieces on PvP servers?
The effort in development time, communication, getting console certifications then finally updating the game to REMOVE an element is if anything equal to FIXING it being used as an exploit. Not the “easiest”.
where you are wrong is that drawbridge is just one of the way, and what need to be fix is to have not some building zone under. and not have placeables that dont need foundation to have stability.
