I still don’t get why it was removed for “lore reasons” if they cared so much about it how can we can craft ghost and skeleton horses in our bare hands. It was a really fun ability that offered variety to your forces.
Yeah it conflicted with what they were doing with the sorcery necromancy stuff so I get why they just popped it out. However I think they could bring it back as something that meshes with the shallow grave. Your combat thralls could come back as the humanoid undead types and you pick the model you want. This would require you to capture a corpse though. You could use alchemy items to craft undead monstrosities and hyenas and shalebacks could come back similar to your thralls. It could work and you got the skins already done….I don’t see why not.
I get why they removed it if it clashed with the newer sorcery direction, but it still feels inconsistent when other supernatural stuff is still in the game. That Witch Doctor feat added a lot of flavor and army variety, and the idea of reworking it into the current necromancy system actually sounds solid. Would be nice to see it return in a more balanced form.
