[Funcom Support #1087428] Do you guys actually answer tickets? clock is ticking on this for 4 DAYS with no response

Server type: Server 1522 - PvE.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Die in the volcano zone from some unknown and unexplained thing that happened after I safely logged out in shelter with appropriate armor.
  2. Log back in an hour later naked with No corpse and No death marker on the map even though I logged out 10 feet from my spawn point.
  3. Send in [Funcom Support #1087428] ticket immediately and hear absolutely NOTHING for 4 ■■■■■■■ days.
  4. Be unable to play because everything I need to survive was on that corpse and I can’t get very far from this base naked with no tools, armor or anyway to survive leaving the volcano zone, let alone the ice zone south of it to get to my nearest base to MAYBE be able to rebuild and one day come back and try again.
  5. Post here expecting any kind of customer service anytime soon before my bases all start decaying, wasting the 360+ hours I spent enjoying this game.
  6. Find a new game to play that is actually ready for release as far away from funcom as I can get.

Why don’t you resurrect in the desert and run to one of your bases located in a neutral temperature zone and the craft the gear and food you need to travel across the temperature extemes to get back to your base and continue playing ??
If the volcano base was your only base or all your bases are in exteme temperature zones … then still respawn in the desert … and then craft the minimum building items you need to make in order to make the gear and food you need so you can get back to the volcano.
I mean how did you get up there in the first place ??? Just reproduce those steps so you can get back…

You are on a pve server … so can’t you appeal to others who are on for some help …

On your point of Funcom not answering your ticket … they do not provide GM type support for this game … read the sticked post from Funcom in the players helping players section on grieving and harassment … and realise that this extends to issues of gear and building loss as well.

If they cannot restore a corpse that seemingly never existed what is the point of doing that? That’s just beyond bad. This game has entirely too many gamebreaking bugs and now one got me. This game is still in alpha and it shows. I was too busy having a good time to notice until something bad happened to me.

Thanks for the desert thing, I’ve been so pissed off I did totally overlook that option because I only seem to die when i am offline from heatstroke i’m guessing even though I am supposedly in full shelter with mistmourn equipped. I lost stuff it took me many hours to farm, stuff from legendary chests, Mistmourn, Solspeil etc and tons of stuff I built to furnish my new base. If they can’t fix a problem like this there really is no point playing anymore. If corpses can be lost like this, never showing up in the world, no death marker…what is the point? If this can happen on any death any where any time, it’s likely just a matter of time until it happens again. How many times should a person lose everything to some stupid bug and keep playing? They should at least have the decency to say something, the automatic response says they will answer but they haven’t and I guess they won’t bother. This was not the first corpse I had that was NEVER visible in the world. The last one was in lava and I did that lag warp thing a few times thing and was dead before I knew it. I decided that one was mostly my fault for being stupid anywhere near lava knowing how laggy this game can get so I ate that loss and rebuilt. This one is 10x worse to me, I’m honestly not sure I want to rebuild if there is nothing they can do about this. I’d rather have been killed on a pvp server and at least someone would have be enjoying my stuff. This just feels like a massive waste of time.

Thank you for answering, I will probably take your advice and at least save my other bases from decay for a while. It was going to be such a nice base too. /sniffle.

Hi there, just offering my input on the matter, wich sucks for sure.

Annyways, at one time i was exploring the frozen area and it was wery cold.
Of course my computer locked while in one of the most cold areas, and i quickly relogged to try and find my char alive, sadly he was dead of course, even thi he had the right armopr on.

Now to the point, i knew where i was while the death occured, but my death marker was not there.
While looking on my map i could see a death marker on a totally random place longer south then i remembered i died.

So i figure to see if i could find my body at the marker, no luck, as i didnt die there.

I went to the place i knew i died, spendt some 30 min to explore all over the cliffsides and there, under/between some rocks i found my body and managed to loot it again.

This goes to show, that the body is where you died, and if you cant find it look for it with better armor on so you dont die, i had to produce new armor for the cold to get up where i died, but hey, thats all part of the game.

I would not be surprized to hear that your body really is where you died, but maybe hard to find.
Look for an arm or leg sticking out somewhere and maybe you will be lucky as sometimes the body gets hidden by node spawns or other map items and can be hard to spot.

So, by using the tactic explained here, and by Kwalya you will probebly manage.

Best of luck tho, and this issue for sure is anoying and is on the funcom fix list.

Thank you all for your responses, I cooled down a little and started visiting all my bases and made some new armor. I will wear some better armor up in the volcano area for sure. I guess I can’t log out there at all and I will be keeping a set of armor, tools, waterskins, and a sandstorm mask (and a repair hammer) in every base from now on, that way if this happens again I won’t really be bothered much by it. Maybe one day they will fix this bug and that combined with the better event log we’re supposed to be getting I may one day be able to recover these corpses. It would be nice if corpses went to the local obelisk or some other safe area after a day or two so we could get our stuff back but I won’t hold my breath on that. A part of me really wants to quit because of how bad these bugs are but I really like parts of this game and don’t have a better one to play at the moment.
