Funcom: Will we receive additional hotfix? Or can we expect AoH Ch1 as is now?

Funcom:

@den @AndyB @Community

Will we be getting any further attention and bugfix efforts in the short term cycle for issues that have been identified and are STILL being experienced in Age of Heroes: Chapter 1?

Or - was the November 4th hotfix the only fix that we should plan to expect?

There are still a number of issues with the game. With the Living Settlements system, with tavernkeepers and their behavior. Companion questlines are still not working 100% as we players would hope/expect. And thralls / players / NPCs are still showing up stuck in foundation and other kinds of blocks.

I would like to hope that you are still giving these issues attention. And I would like to hope even more that you will be willing to engage with the player community, and tell us about those plans. At a minimum - please let us know if more fixes are in the short term works. Or if we should expect that AoH Ch1 with the Nov 4 hotfix is the “as is” product that we will have until the next major release.

Thank you,
Cauthey

How difficult can it be to give us information.

They choose to ignore most of everybody and everything. They only listen to a tiny micro-minority of the players which they refer to as “the community” (less than 20 people).

While I am not a part of the circle of elite that you are referencing… I have managed to get their attention (from time to time).

I’ve recently come to believe that they are split and hamstrung with their duties. I tagged them all here. Hoping they will see it, and grace us with an answer. Or if not here, some other announcement post elsewhere. I am trying to keep positive. But at the same time - I won’t be holding my breath.

There is a difference between being positive and being positively oblivious to the reality of exactly how things are with these people. You can be as positive as you wish but that does not change the reality of any outcome. The attention you received… what was it? Show me a reply to anything you stated where they did anything more or less than placate.

Considering the “hot” fix came 3 weeks after the dissaster, I think a new patch would not come in at least 6 weeks…

this is the kind of quality we can expect from FC

Based on what some people have said, it appears that not all of what the hotfix released on November 4th was supposed to address actually occurred.

A hotfix is not necessarily something we can expect perfection on as understandably, it is a quick “fix”.

However, there’s some expectation that it would help the most important things.

Now that we’ve had time to review and absorb, instead this hotfix has served to introduce MORE issues. Thankfully there are incredibly helpful and creative members in the player community that have provided temporary band aids and/or suggestions to alleviate or bear with the difficulties faced by the players.

That again, we’re here, not seeing more said about what is next to acknowledge, address and provide a plan of action pains me.

It doesn’t have to be this way :frowning:

What do you say, @Community ? Can we get a whisper here of what to expect? There are some other players that are asking the same thing.

It would be wise to fix some of the new issues before mid-december or so i’d say but to be honest i can’t be arsed to play lately anyhow.

Communication is key in this time of the year, people may choose to get a new game for the end of the year holiday or just leave CE on the shelf for December and Januari if things seem hopeless.

Was really hoping for another patch this week.

This one is hoping that there might be at least an update before the weekend. Even if no patch (certification on PSN is a thing, and did XBoX even get their patch yet?), some sort of info would be nice.

I was wondering about console platforms, actually. If they have not received the first hotfix yet…does that mean that they will eventually receive a hotfix that will be version 1.5 ? Or version 1.75? Or maybe even hotfix version 2.0? With more corrections than the PC crowd has at this point?

This was just speculation. Clearly their dev team still has some factors to work out, comprehensively. I am just wondering if consoles will get a version that is further along. Because they’ve made further progress on the issues internally by now (hopefully) … ?

PStato did get a hot fix.
It didn’t quite deliver everything expected, but it did happen.
Barkeepers came home.
XBoX is still without?

Patches and updates on fridays are a big no-no. They’ve already screwed that up and promised no more changes on fridays due to the delay in reaction time when it goes south. That being said, after losing my Vatessa the Potent after getting her to like level 16 and equipping her with a momentum and top gear, I’m pretty ticked.

In more positive news, I haven’t had issues with falling through my base since the patch… so that’s a step in the right direction. I just think it’s too soon to have turned living settlements back on.

This one agrees that reactivating Living Settlements was overly optimistic.

Perhaps the players on XBoX are being protected from a hotfix that didn’t quite deliver as much a sit was expected to.

Tbh the radio silence after this disaster of an update makes me worried. They haven’t acknowledged any of the problems or made any mention it’s being worked on. They even turned living settlements back on on officials without a word and no word of turning it back off til it’s really working.
Been over a month without crafters on my stations now cause I will not risk losing them on officials…

Hotfix has literally bricked my game, along with many others who play singeplayer, so I’m hoping we’ll get SOMETHING that makes it at the very least, playable.

Not every player has tried the new content – going back to when AoS applied. I can sense where the bottleneck is at the moment. Overruns did the final blow. Tested.

We need something more comprehensive or more intuitive.

Me : Funcom ! Please give us a new hot fix. My server need 8 hours to boot. We cant play. When we have new hot fix ?
Funcom : Look ! A New Emerald reskin from Red

For that matter, 2 hrs is too much for THAT. It was ok when it was 1 hr, but they truly think it’s worth our time to watch someone’s channel for 2 hrs? All it’s done is made me put it on in the background and check every so often that it’s still progressing. I don’t care about the streamer in the slightest. Let’s compare 2 hrs and the rewards I get on another game I’m playing:

So that’s 4 items, one every half hour. Funcom thinks a reskin placeable is worth 2 hrs?
