Game tries to authenticate offline singleplayer session when using -continuesession

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Other
Game Mode: Single Player
Server Type: N/A
Map: Any
Server Name: N/A
Mods: None

Bug Description:

If I try to continue a singleplayer session while offline, the game will try to authenticate and I’ll end up in the main menu with the “Failed to Login” dialog:

However, if I subsequently press “Singleplayer/Co-Op” and then “Continue”, the game will resume my singleplayer session without any problems.

Since the game is capable of continuing an offline singleplayer session, it should be able to do so even with the -continuesession command line argument.

Bug Reproduction:

  1. Make sure Steam is logged in but in offline mode.
  2. Make sure the account is cached in Game.ini under [FuncomLiveServices] section with a CachedUsers key.
  3. Make sure the [SavedCoopData] section in Game.ini has StartedListenServerSession key set to True and WasCoopEnabled set to False.
  4. Start the game by running ConanExilesSandbox.exe with the -continuesession argument, or ConanExilesSandbox_BE.exe with the -BattlEye and -continuesession arguments.
