So from another thread, the counter to the Acid Arrow right now is the Greater Gorrilla. Just go farm a couple hundred hearts, and plop down gorillas everywhere.
So they just poison arrow the gorillas down. Still not a counter to the OP acid arrows.

I appreciate the response from Funcom attempting to address a reaction to the acid arrows and the opinions about them being ridiculous. Personally, I think they should either leave the damage and cost alone for a bit longer to see how it changes playstyles, or, not do such a drastic nerf (10 to 1??? You’re cutting their effectiveness by 90% in one hotfix? Talk about kneejerk reaction).
Additionally, with changes like this, players need to think through how they’ll do things differently and find an in-game solution before griping that FC made them change the way they play. I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again. I like the acid arrows, I like the wrinkle they’ve brought to the meta, and I look forward to the challenge of finding a good way to set up base defenses against it.
I dont think they should remove them. Tone them down … yes.
However I do think these new arrows need counters. Acid arrows, and Smoke arrows could be countered by water orbs. Firespark could make bandages mean something again. What makes weapons truly overpowered is when there are no counter to them.
As for AFK raiders (because the true meta is afkpvp) add misting fountains to counter Acid and Smoke in a radius.

Kind o f like the 20% spawn rate of Jhebal Archpriest when it was first released? Oh yeah, didn’t see crying then. Because they could be farmed the them in mass, and wipe thralls faster than the acid arrows.
How about changing acid arrows to apply a massive sunder effect with minor damage? Sunder negates armor depending on the number of stacks. You get best of both worlds… opportunity to massively negate a player or thrall’s armor, and the opponent doesn’t actually have their hard earned/farmed armor destroyed.
I’m not necessarily in favor of this though. I like the idea of being able to break an opponent’s armor.
Still mayhem on our server. People just remove the armor of 30+ defensive thralls just to be an a-hole then moves to the next base. The new upgraded blunted damage is enough FC, please just remove these Acid Arrows. Listen to your PvP community (as stated here, the PvE and PvE-C have no use for Acid arrows what so ever, and WE do not want them)
i test this weekend, the acid arrows. You need the thralls wait 10 minuts or more for break his armors, its more easy hit them and kill them.
Acid arrows dmg its good for me.
Clearly you didn’t see my pseudo math on the time requirements on both sides accounting for the intended nerf.

Can say that about a lot of tactics in CE.
I’ve been having way too much fun with acid arrows. I get they need to be nerfed a little but so long as they eat away at armor and are somewhat economical to make I’m going to keep spamming them.
What does your math have to do with my comment?
Even with the intended nerf they are 4-5x easier to farm than REPAIRING a set of epic flawless. Not including the craft time on the epic flawless set. So basic math, they are currently 10x more effective until the nerf. Meaning they are currently 40-50x easier to farm for than to REPAIR a set of epic flawless.
Even after the intended nerf they are still way out of whack for their cost. And no viable counter to them. In PVP it’s w/e no one is going to stand in a cloud. But the griefing being had with these as of now and what will still continue after the patch is ridiculous.
I’d be alright with them with the intended nerf if they didn’t effect non following Thralls. But I doubt FC will do that.
You can still pull every single melee fighter defence thrall to ONE location and Acid Arrow their ■■■■■ naked like you gas all the animals at defence in one swooop.
If I for example have 15 T4 fighter vulcano thralls in one room, or outside my base, the attacker can just aggro all and have them hug a doorway (inside) or a mountainside (outside) and Acid Arrrow them in stacks.
To counter this, I now have to build a barrier between each thrall, make him stand in a little square, unable to move anywhere - which renderes a figher thrall useless.
Come on Funcom, have any of you tried PvP? Acid arrows are STILL game breaking, even at 10% functionality. It now takes 600(twenty arrows) seconds instead of 60 (two arrows) to make “Put number here” fighter thralls naked. It’s to fast, and enables the freaking offline raiding BIGTIME - AGAIN.
Please reconcider, and remove them enterily. Look at your pvp community, and listen. It is we who are affected.
Only PVP is affected. They have zero use in PVE and no one is going to stand in your cloud in PVE-C.
