Glass Flask Crafting Has Reverted To A Very Old Version

With the new casting table, you can only queue up production of as many glass flasks as there are glass flask molds in the table’s inventory. This is very similar to behavior that was in place in late 2018.

I think the behavior is fine but @Ignasi can please confirm that this is in fact the intended behavior and not some sort of crazy reversion?

It’s a bug. Don’t expect to spend 15 iron bars and 3 glass for each glass flask.

The mold doesn’t get consumed.

I did notice that once crafting had started you could then craft the max possible by clicking the appropriate button.

Wait, they added a whole new crafting station, dedicated to casting, but it still requires molds to operate?

And how do you think all those presses and punches work IRL? There is a big noisy machine and some molds which you can change.

Well hate to have to say it but this is a game not IRL.

Who the hell flagged this post? There’s is absolutely nothing wrong with it and it’s got accurate and useful information in it.

The glass flask mafia obviously.

But many of you appeal to “realism” in some other aspects of the same game, don’t you?

Then why don’t we need a hammer to make a sword at the blacksmith bench or a saw to make shaped wood? I don’t mind putting molds into furnaces as a way to get around without this station. Or may be having an ingame saw tool to make shaped wood from my inventory, without carpenters bench
But putting molds into specialized station dedicated entirely to casting is just plain dumb.

Hey @helium3

Thanks for the heads-up. This is a non intended change and we’ve notified our team so they can look into it.
