Well I don’t know what he’s got in mind, but as for me it’s mostly for missing parts. For example, there’s been a few times where I’ve got something like ten torsos, seven heads, five empty arms, six arms with various weapons, and one leg.

@Glurin the golems take x8 more damage from star metal. They lack proper offensive. Golems can’t be repair. They should be repairable. Thralls and pets can heal. Golems has a delay response from being attacked. Golems only harvest when you are nearby.
Do you use golems to fight? Do you PVP? Golems are worthless in PVP. Golems takes damage from wildlife. I don’t know how to feel about a shellback harming a fully crystalline golem. You know T3 golems with highest defense. Tested this in offline and online mode.
Why build golem parts? Stone golems are easiest of the 3 to make. Stone has the lowest defense, offensive and only useful as oil and jar heads. I see no other use for these weak golems. The only other reason to use golems are as decorations. With no way to repair golems it’s best to keep them inside.

Huh, ok. So when I said to stop looking at what they can’t do and start looking at what they can do, you took that to mean the exact opposite and once again composed a list of all the things they can’t do.
While harvesting they get damage from players, wildlife and NPC thralls. Still needs that repair. Even when doing a job players will attack golems with star metal weapons. You need to be NEAR golems for them to harvest.
By the time you waste on babysitting a golem to harvest. You could have done 3 times by now.

When did you start PvPing?

When Diablo 2 was first release on PC.
Stone easiest to build. PVP forces you to be careful. If I spot you online I’m taking you out with my clan to collect your loot.

Anyways. The thing is that its a standard trait of golems that they are not repairable and you have yet explained why they should revert that standard outside of they aren’t pets or thralls. Which we all understand but having repairable golems is like having permanent zombies. Its a defining trait you want to change. What, precisely, is the reason for this outside of you don’t see a reason for golems and think this change will add value to them (which I disagree since they aren’t good in combat, bearers have more storage spaces, and their harvest rates are crap. Repairing them isn’t going to change any of those limitations and you are still stuck with an inferior thing that can passively give resources…like gold-vein rocknoses)
Hi, Bryan! Long time no see.
No, golems don’t need to be repairable. They were made non-repairable by design, as a tradeoff for their unique features. Just because those unique features don’t appeal to you, doesn’t mean that golems have to be made less unique.
Maybe those unique features could be improved instead?

Golems should definitely be repairable. It’s just a QoL thing.

Gawd yes. Can we at least get some decent collections and maybe some form of collection when not in rendering? I don’t know, like an averaging or something because they aren’t useful if you have to spend the time babysitting them to do the 1 thing they are better at thralls and pets at.
Good to know. Let me rephrase: when did you start PvPing in Conan Exiles? As far as I remember, you used to be a Single-Player.
Your experiences in Diablo 2’s PvP scene may be irrelevant to Conan Exiles’s PvP.

Heads and Torsos, sure. I have chests full of heads and torsos. Maybe our server (private) is strange, but the vendor NEVER sells arms or legs, and they are very, very uncommon drops,
Repairing them with molten hearts or with fire slowly over time maybe.
I go on a sorcerer murder spree and get all the parts. Arms and legs included.
The ability to repair golems makes them more useful.

Golems weakness is x8 damage from star metal weapons. Golems have low damage. Golems has a delay response time when attack. Not being able to repair them hurts golems more. Which is more powerful to you? One Hundred Crystalline golems or One Hundred thralls (T4 max level of twenty)? These Thralls are using epic star metal weapons. The thralls are in epic heavy armors. The thralls are half fighters and half archers.
So which is more powerful to you?
