And there “you” have it. What I said is: It does not matter to me, but I should not pretend what does not matter to me does not matter to anyone else.
What I am saying is that if it does not matter to me, it is not an argument to say it should not matter to anyone.
Exactly the opposite of what you are “implying” I said.

I think if someone raises the point, we cannot dismiss something because “it does not matter” or it “does matter” to me. Instead we have to understand why it would matter to those to whom it matters.

Again, it is a lack of understand the converse way of something. That is why studies, science and law, you need to have something to be “falsifiable”, which means you need to know how it is not, to be sure how it is.

And that is supposed to be what ? I can talk about anything I want, it mattering to me or not.
“Going play something else” or “Go talk about something else” is the same thing. If you think one is “not right”, the other isnt either.
