I’m learning how to use the Great Axe. But the ‘Block/Offhand’ function confuses me.
When I use the offhand function, I hold the axe in front of me like I am going to block. But 9 times out of 10, the enemy attack goes right through it and knocks me off my feet.
What does the offhand function do exactly? I assume I am using it wrong.
Do you mean the “special” ? . The special on great axe is shield, yet it doesn’t shield all the attacks and if it does the weapon looses a ton of durability , so practically it’s not special at all , it’s disaster only and thanks a million for opening this conversation.
Great axe is a magnificent weapon that although it’s strength based it needs max agility to perform correctly. Now that quick footed has migrated to grit the weapon has accepted a huge blow , since it use to be the star of 20s20a20v.
Great axe performs really good with crushing swings, and on pve someone could try it with 20s20v20g but against purge NPC’s without agility you’re toasted.
I use to enter Al Merayah with Thag scythe, 20s20a10v10g , dragon hide , buffs on strength and slay all the spawns relentlessly, it was extremely exciting.
The axe will hit if aimed just right. Even if you miss, it increases turmoil (but it’s magical).
I like its durability. Better than a chance of breaking? Yes. I was at that point of fixing my armor. It was busy where I was at, which is not expected to see.
Note that parts of speech gets into the parsing database. I’d recall it if it lingers, but too much stress. Everyone’s story, right?
