we conjured up creatures with the mysterious sculptures at the grey giants by the pond. Not the first time. But this time it was very strange. The person who put the mysterious figure in the container was constantly pursued and attacked by the enemy creature. The other clan members with the same equipment did not draw any aggro. Strangely enough, when the one died, the other clanmates were also noticed by the enemy creature. Not before. We play on a private server, all members with PC and Steam-Acc. Can someone please confirm or deny this? Thank you very much for your help.
Everytime I’ve summoned anything at the pools it would target me without giving a second though to my thrall, this is pre-3.0 mind you, haven’t tried it with the new authority perk.
I would always run and jump up on something out of range until the aggro broke and then they behaved like normal, targeting myself or the thrall depending on what was hitting it most.
This is by design. Who ever places the figurine in the Grey Ones pool has agro until the summoned critters or the placer are dead. Well actually, the agro survives death if a player character dies and comes back.
Most of these encounters would be trivial if agro would transfer to a follower. Specially after 3.0 if they player character has the Irritate perk.
what kind of game is that? We’re not playing Rift and even in that and other games you can lose aggro. Playing at the ponds is like nursery. One guy just runs around bored and the others stand in the middle or right next to the opponent and kill him. That is absolutely no challenge. After 5 figures we didn’t feel like it anymore because everyone was bored. None of them could even come close to killing us, how could they when the opponents are programmed too stupidly. And that’s supposed to be fun? Well, we played it before the 3.0 update and then someone else always pulled the aggro, maybe it was just a coincidence or our server had a bug, but at least it was technically more challenging.
It is pretty clear they are happy to add new content to lure in new players and keep you logging in but fixing in game issues is not a top priority. They are clearly aware but chose to allocate they efforts elsewhere. Comically on Siptah since there is a water layer below everything your thralls have a tendency to fall below the earth the moment you die and if you are an admin you can find them swimming on the top of the water layer. I happens constantly but i doubt it will ever be corrected.
