Grit feels outright required for any combat style, and a possible fix

I’ve been playing and am slowing adjusting to the changes. Suffice to say I had a knee-jerk reaction even after previously trying it in the Beta.

Looking at it even now, I’d still like changes to what we’ve ended up with. Perhaps a regeneration delay specifically after rolling for one. Maybe a stacking debuff to regeneration rate. Weapon attack costs need to be individually tuned. Like was said above, the overhead chop with a two-handed sword takes over 200 stamina to do. Its already borderline useless. Dual Axes spin combo is impossible to finish too, can only get 5 out of 10 hits out.

Consideration needs to be taken into account for corrupted builds too, which look like they were completely forgotten about. Some way to negate the max stamina penalty should be the starting point.

Stamina costs for rolling is percentile, so despite having more stamina you cant roll anymore. I’m not saying make it a flat cost, but a mix of the two so more max stam actually gives a more tangible benefit there, even if only a little.

Finally, Rolling Thrust needs addressing, and Combo Master needs a rework. My idea for that is decreasing stamina cost and increasing damage as the chain gets deeper. 5% on two, 10% on three etc.

Yes, correct but low levels now the stomp is malice it can one shot you, which i find absolutely correct. The tail sweep… In a lag can send you to your bed even late game, which again i find correct, no matter if the reason is lag.
Because as you said this move is so damn predictable that you simply cannot miss. Now the problem i find in lags is that you see a “still” mother like a statue but she is not :smiling_imp:. No matter if the move around and stay safe works in other bosses, in mama no, you are as good as dead .
The boss however that troubles me the last weeks is the warmakers. Sometimes it glitches to the teleport swing moveset and even dodge does not work. I happen not to use a shield and two times managed to kill me with this glitch. Ofcurce if you return it doesn’t glitch again and it’s an easy fight, but this glitch is a bit annoying, did it ever happen to you?

As long as we have placed a bedroll, if you die,l because of lag, you just get your stuff back and take revenge with extreme prejudice, @stelagel !
Dying is not really a problem, but you know that too.

Yup, exactly that, @stelagel .
That’s why I advocate for perma death servers (as an option!). Now, THAT would make you think twice.

That’s the best way to learn, you know?
On Single Player, if I die, I recreate my character and have to watch my former buildings and thralls looking at me with disdain!

Edit: btw, @stelagel do you still know how to make your former thralls fight you once you recreate character? I haven’t been able to do it, even with pvp enabled. @Ragnaguard , I think it was you who taught me how to do it. Do you know if it still works?

It was @Damon actually, @Ragnaguard is on pc unfortunately :pensive:.
I was doing this role play ,back in 2019 - early 2020.
I was turning on pvp 24 hours log out log in and fight :man_shrugging:. As soon i was attacking to a pet then the archers were start firing etc…
I don’t know how or if it works this way now. I will try again and let you know. But that’s what i was doing only if i remember correctly.

I believe you need to have PvP building damage on too, since non-following thralls are bound by that rule rather than strictly the PvP one.

I’ll try it and see if it works, @tobbiusness , thanks!
