That’s actually some serious stuf.
The game does support modding which is to blame here. Access to the dev kit gave people some ideas and freedom to create whatever they want including cheats.
At this point, these things cannot be prevented unless they remove mod support for the game and fixing their net code.
I remember back in the day warframe had mod support and shortly after it’s launch the game had cheaters using software to generate ingame currency. They removed the support and updated their netcode and cheaters were gone.
The same thing happenes to GTAV right now. Game has mod support and is overloaded with cheaters.
Mostly the issue is the Net code, not mod support. Tencent/Wildcard quite obviously don’t give a $#*@ about it, and would rather make meaningless balance changes to upset gameplay than they would actually put effort into fixing bugs.
They have proven this time after time.
Here’s a bit of news from 6 days ago showing that Tencent is fighting cheaters.
