Has there been a change recently in raising pets or has my luck finally failed me?

I’ve raised 22 baby crocodiles and fed them all Exquisite Meat which I read gives them a 20% chance of becoming a Greater Croc. Every last one of them as been a regular Croc. They are all raised in an animal pen (the basic one). Last month I did the same thing and was able to get multiple Greater Crocs. So, has there been a change or has my luck finally failed me? Thank you for your input.
