I have an IGP from my Ryzen 7 7800X3D…
I also have a dedicated GPU, an Intel ARC A770 LE 16GB.
Both are connected to my monitor, the IGP through an HDMI cable, and the dedicated GPU through DisplayPort.
I use the IGP to run some older games which the Intel ARC does not yet support.
All I have to do is press the button on my monitor to swap the inputs; and with those games (ie FO3/NV) I can set which device to use through their settings.
However, after recently updating the drivers on both this week…
Conan Exiles seems to have stopped recognizing my Intel ARC and is running off my IGP… even though its displaying through the ARC’s output.
Can it do this?
Previously I could run the game at 60+ FPS on all high settings or better… but now it won’t run at more then 5 FPS… regardless of whether Im loaded into Single Player, or on a Server.
Soooo… is there way to tell it to use the dedicated GPU again, and ignore the IGP???
Do I need to just start disabling the IGP in my Device Manager, just to run Conan?
In the Conan configs:
…\ConanSandbox\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini
you can try to add this option:
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.GraphicsAdapter=-1
-1 means:
Favour non integrated because they are usually faster (default)
This should usually be the default option for Unreal Engine games, but since it’s Funcom I am not so sure.
You can also try setting it to 0 or 1. You will have to test if the Arc Card is Adapter 0 or 1.
