I am not necessarily saying it is… I am saying it might look like that if the admin in question isn’t a subscriber to this philosophy and thinks that you should only ever have a single layer of walls and only enough space for your storage stuff and crafting benches… period
That’s what others tried to point out as well, that it’s VERY subjective and the guidelines are just guidelines, not set in stone black and white “rules”
Edit: the heat trap stuff I can tell you with almost 100% certainty that if reported will be an auto-ban. Spamming any placeable with the energy system (temperature effect in this case) and light emitters on top of it takes quite a toll on the server / nearby clients.

I’d recommend using the space with sincerity.
Jupp, basically exploiting.
honestly aver 7800 hrs or so near exclusively playing official I have moved onto a private server with friends (thats public).
The rules are a bit absurd to me on officials and getting an admin shouldn’t take a month for a speedhacker, a friend of mine got banned for naming his clan crusaders, another guy I played with got banned for calling someone a name for a cat (something they had done repeatedly to him ironically) .
So its kinda ludicrous, but I am still looking forward to chapter 2, glad the story is advancing, the glory days of official pvp are largely over, still had a good run through, despite the exploits of last month though

You never know what happened after Photoshop ;D
Did your friend had a reply from Zendesk telling him that they are banned because they used this name?
Something with cat doesn’t explain exactly the word, I believe we both agree with it isn’t it?
An overuse of a word, a simple word, with insulting way can be lack of respect and get dimensions of harassment! I believe again we both agree on this one!
One guy named Daedalus on Zendesk posts lines may have named me about 30 times bootlick in two posts! This guy still wonders why he is banned!
This guy still blames Zendesk for his ban! Go figure.

He’s talking about a homophobic slur that is also a synonym for cat.

its not homophobic, mysoginistic maybe but I don’t really care, first few years of this game I heard the N word and saw swaztika’s from german clans and nothing was ever done, major calls for moderation wasn’t over building limits or people being offensive it was for undermeshers and speedhackers.
Funcom is too slow to effectively deal with speed hackers, they are gone before any ban kicks in (which takes 2 weeks to a month) and back with a new account in 2 minutes meanwhile after 2 years their super friends content policies has people looking for infractions over toxic behaviour, you can kill, sacrifice enslave people in this game, extract ■■■■■ with a knife, eat peoples flesh, but don’t you ever call someone a cowardly cat XD, build a wall too big to stop exploiters, or insult the people speedhacking you in a non pc way.
Removed as to not offend but basically a pic of a swastika on an official server pre zendesk<

You’re conflating issues here. If someone does something that is easily provable in a screenshot, yeah its going to see action quickly. Why wouldn’t it? As soon as the screenshot is seen the bad deed is confirmed, take action then and there.
If you take a screenshot of a speed hacker. What the hell is that actually showing? A dude somewhere. You need video. You also need video showing it is obviously the result of a hack and not the server causing what you see. I mean I doubt people would appreciate if FC banned every instance of glitched apparent movement because the server FPS dropped below 10. Everyone would get banned then. So yeah, someone hacking does take time. Usually with speed hacks in my experience its caught while in the act after enough evidence is found. That’s not easy for FC to have. And I suspect they rely on multiple reports showing evidence.
Also I recommend removing the image of what you ‘did in singleplayer’. Before you get actioned here. I put that in quotes because there is no way to verify that is actually on a server and if it was, that’s better off sent to Zendesk, not the forums. Which if it remained up for any amount of time means it likely wasn’t reported.
“it could be the server causing it”
“glitched movement”
I know speedhacking when I see it.
its quite easy to show, theres a video I sent funcom submited on the 3rd, concluded on the 27th

Congrats you are probably <1% of players that can submit a proper video. The other 99% are filing reports without video on stuff or when they do, they actually do show rubber banding and other server related issues.
Try server admining for a community with a few hundred players and see the kind of fake, incomplete, and ignorant reports you will see on a daily basis. Then you’ll understand what I am talking about here.

it was on official for long time not mine and not what I “did on single player” can’t do historic reports afaik, there was no zendesk to report to at the time.
Is it really the same? Because I play a game that has barbaric character, that means I will treat the other people the same way?
If you don’t like what you see then why you justify it?
You know your friends, you know that they are good guys having fun with no intention to harash others. The mistake belongs to your friends because the one that felt offended by their joke apparently never received a proper handle!
If you have fun one sided only, this can lead to misunderstanding, isn’t it?
I have a friend that joined me in a private pvec server. In this servers chat there were some complaints messages about a specific person. This person was humiliating everyone’s defences and almost all the chat had issues with him. He was asking to visit vocals but nobody accepted him in the vocal!
My friend was calling him a prick and I told him not to judge easily! So I invited him on our chat…
Man, except that I met a new person I may have laughed for straight 3 hours in the chat with him. Such a lovely person, what a guy, he made my Sunday unique, what a person!!!
Well, he was the most hated in this server, go figure…
Why?
Because he was the only pvec player in a pvec server, that’s why. People didn’t choose to learn from their mistakes, but name him a cheater was easier
.
When he left the chat, I asked my friend again, do you still think he is a prick?
.
It’s a game! But people never say the whole truth about their experience.

I think the reality falls down to instead of people reporting for strong infractions or even being offended, which I think is dumb (block function much?) you have people that are trolling with rules usually because they fail at PVP.
if you start raiding people heavily and “winning” on a official, everything you say, your name, how and where you build, will be scrutinized and reported and players have the impression that this does infact work.
I have seen players dogpile on someone I just know is a good player that he is a cheater “if we all mass report him he will get banned” there is for sure an impression at least by the player base that if you cry enough funcom will resolve in your favor.
I am not interested in whether someone called me a mean word, built a wall too big or any of that garbage, my only fundamental question is can I play a fair competitive game on official? and the answer is no.

We agree! Have no doubt!
There are times that things are not as they look like! But sometimes they are, that’s why the work of Zendesk is difficult.
On this I ask your best attention, nothing else @Raskhaul. You and your friends are committed to this game, love it and support it to your bones. Try to help Zendesk, do not judge them lightly! Use creative criticism, you have all the necessary experience to do so! That is all I ask, better rules for official servers and better gaming conditions! You can do it easily @Raskhaul you got what it takes.
id rather not waste my time and energy to tell the truth, officials can go in the direction they want.
I will be enjoying playing casual with friends on private, all works out and what I advocate for is more meaningful base game changes and balance.

yeah I don’t post so much to it though (publically at least), and most of my content is outdated.
got some cool pvp footage I might post up when I get round to editing it, of a 21 zombie 7 man bat raid
