I have yet to see 1 player happy about live settlements enabled

Why is this feature still enabled in its current state when noone seems to enjoy it or benefit from it? Can we have this disabled for official servers?

If Funcom is in doubt, a poll can be created to vote for it staying enabled/disabled.

I like it for immersion reasons. On PvP Servers I can imagine it’s annoying. If the bugs about thralls wandering off is (/gets) fixed I enjoy it actually.

An option to disable it for your thralls in general and per thrall would be a great compromise.

I’ve talked to a few and am mystified. It’s working as intended, which I haven’t liked since it was on the beta server. For me lively settlements does not mean an empty work room. These are thralls, they are lucky I don’t chain them to their benches and feed them nothing but gruel.

Yesterday I was happy about this feature. It let my friend enter another player’s base and murder them all because their armorsmith decided to open the doors to go do who knows what. xD

I haven’t had any problems with it.
I keep my doors locked. Keep them boxed in.

Give them their needs. Beds, water, benches, fires.

Well, I’m still on the fence about it myself - in theory a cool feature - BUT I would vastly prefer if it was my/the player’s choice which Thrall participates.

Since we can now tell the crafting system not to use certain chests for crafting resources, why not have a similar feature on thralls, where we can ‘opt’ individual followers in or out of this Living Settlement feature?

Case in point, I like to keep certain crafter thralls save and sound since they are not always easy to come by. So I would prefer to switch those off so to speak for the living settlement shenanigans and rather have them in place at a crafting station hammering away or whatever I choose to have them do.

Also while only tangentially related to the topic, I really wish more emotes would be added to the thrall repertoire that are already available to the player. Would add a little more to the whole illusion of ‘living’ settlement without the upset of them running around.

I have placed barriers on every workstaion to avoid the workers wandering around. They simply dont want to work, we place them at the station and after 1 second they leave and never return, i can find them sleeping , resting and eating the entire day lol. Now they have to work more than 44 hours a week.

I dont mind it now. I even added doors back to my bases.

I level the crafters now, equip heavy armor, and legendary weapons appropriate to their ability.

They can wander all they want. I may have figured out a way to keep them inside im currently testing.

Agree and this is the main reason that make me quit online and move to offline, ability to disable LS, only log to reset decay and quit. I like the idea behind LS but the current state its not good.

Everyone in my server hid their thralls inside, so it’s now a big ghost world, thanks to this ridiculous.. sorry, “working as intended” feature.
