Well… it’s a tough one. The game has flaws, some quite serious.
However, at least on console, for all its problems, there’s nothing even close to Conan Exiles. No survival game gets near and I have played most. Besides, CE is more than a survival game.
I hope the game slowly corrects its problems, but it’s a hell of a tittle. The proof is the thousands of hours we all sank into it.
We grew accustomed to different iterations. Some things we prefer as they were. Others, we welcome. The game is alive, although I would like to see more development. It’s kind of sad if we only expect minor tweaks and give up thinking a little bigger, like wanting a big addition to the game, whether it’s a new map or something like a settlement systeml, etc. Despite all their flaws, these Ages bring a boatload of new content for a game this old. The implementation has problems, sure. Performance could be better. But let it never be said that the game is dead. It’s not. It needs a little more love from the devs, though.
People more easily complain than congratulate. God knows I’m guilty of that too. That said, I can only imagine picking up this game now, waiting for something like the forest or stranded deep and finding a game such as Conan Exiles. My jaw would drop.
All in all, despite its problems, this is a fantastic game, especially if you play it without knowing much about it, finding things as you go. How I would lovee to forget all I know and start fresh, without any knowledge of numbers, stats, multipliers, comparisons between this and that, etc.
I think the game could revitalize some of its content, like religions and what not. It’s a waste having so much stuff already coded, functional, but with little use.
Anyway, I ended up taking a sip of what you had, in the end, just to be fair.
I’m very glad the game pleases you and I hope it gives you thousands of hours of quality entertainment, as it has been giving the rest of us, grumpy spoiled veterans.
