If anyone is having ping issues, here are some possible solutions:

Thanks for helping me track this down! I have a fix in testing. It turns out some UI glitches were delaying the processing of ping responses on the client. I’m setting up a dedicated thread to handle those, and I’m getting a nice ~50ms response reported from the XXXXXX server. In the meantime, if you bookmark a server and then use the bookmarks filter, it’ll help with the lag issue for most people since the list of servers it’s trying to process is much smaller.”

The background to this note came from an Inflexion developer who ran a test with a server operator.

This also confirms my test on a dedicated server located in a data center; I had a stable 35ms ping, but Conan’s server browser sometimes showed a 800ms ping.

And yes, of course you can also connect via a direct connection.

I hope this helps some of you.

Is this for server browser/joining a server only?

I use direct connect. Not bothered by the browser ping. The ping when in-game bothers me and it’s abnormal. The ping is caused by the game/server provider on official servers. I have 2GB internet and I play any other game with no lag.

Ping and server or performance issues should be considered separately.

The Funcom Server Browser is simply displaying incorrect ping values.

As the developer notes, the UI is glitching.

Thanks for clarifying

thanks for the info for sure but they still need to fix it i have seen severs not below 400 ping for over a week now and people will start loosing building and such if it wont drop below 300
