I understand you.
Let me tell you my experience:
I got recently banned from the server for “abusing the claiming system”.
(suspension for 14 days).
I was in a dungeon and as I got back, my base on N6 (northern west part of the palace of the witch queen, in the ruins where you can build) was gone.
Then I met the guy ingame who reported me.
He explained to me, why he reported me. He mentioned that I had landclaimed.
It is correct, that I build like 15 vaults outside my base after I got raided bye big clans three times in a row. The Vaults were connected with foundations, so that they don’t decay.
The purpose for me was not landclaim, the purpose was to have a storage to split my items – leaving some vaults empty and some with storage.
It was not my intention to landclaim, it was my intention to survive as a solo player in a world with big clans.
In the “Official Servers - Terms of conduct, guidelines and procedures”
it says:
“Abuse of the claim system where blocks are placed for no other purpose than to prevent other players’ access to resources and building spots.”
But my vaults had actually a purpose, which is to keep my items safe, which is the reason you build vaults in the first place, isn’t it?
In the examples on the forums which show landclaims, there are absolutely massive landclaims with foundations everywhere, which is undoubtedly too much, but my base was small and compact with some vaults outside.
The guy did not talk to me in the first place, instead he decided me to report for a fart in the wind.
I spend lots of time and money on the game. On cosmetics, on add-ons and battle passes. Not only that, but I love the game and I play legitimately.
I support the game besides the fact, that funcom apparently has more interest in earn money than actually fix the game with all the exploits, bugs and cheats going around.
Meanwhile, cheaters are still playing on the server with massive fly bases and stealing other people’s stuff in locked chests and closed bases with some kind of ghost mode and cheats.
And if they get banned, they simply buy a cheap new account.
If funcom bans for some vaults outside the base, funcom should clarify the rules, making them understandable and coherent for everyone.
And if you try to appeal the ban with zendesk, you just get a generic copy and paste answer, that says, that’s impossible to appeal a temporary suspension.
Great. Thanks for that.
