It’s just a weeks time out. And even a ban is just from the public servers.
Thing is not everyone is inadvertently breaking the rules. A good potion of players never read them thinking there are hard coded limits to building. They believe that if they can build there it must be ok then go on a rip when the get a time out for building in a no build zone.
We have talked at length on many occasions on how to fix the system, or at least make it better. Bur WE aren’t the ones that can fix it.
i got a 3 day suspension from AoC when it came out, for pvping like they advertised. these companies are finicky and change the rules mid game when they panic about dropping subs/numbers.
anyway, the effect it had on me was “cya”. and judging from the near total collapse of the game during that time, id say it (their policies) had a similar effect on others too.
to say its only a weeks timeout is a lost customer. i should have asked for my money back but i was too young to know anything then.
No one is going to give you a refund for getting suspended.
I’d assume a weeks time out has caused some friction but I doubt that many people have quit over them. I know a few builders on my server have gotten suspensions and wipes, just to come back and go right back to building the same ways in the same places 
I can adress you most of these tear downs even not one of mentioned
more less probably sandstone with bridges and walls that blocks others from passing…
I mean, i dunno, maybe its only for me, but most players who play PVE and sits there like months without upgrading base from sandstone cube, should be wiped if they even expands like that…
Look with what players i has to sit in pve server …
this is pve server, both el and siptah, if anyone builds or he has similar layout it is teardown… specially with 5 bases if sandstone with bridges and so on…
But better, he should have added also how looked his base… not only tell that all 5 of them got tored down

funniest things is , funcom actually i think removed all these ‘‘my personal’’ examples, but like then those players reappeared and repeated, one i think even made actual but different post of that he got wiped down, when builded like badger

And to @Cauthey - that aint the top tier building by these years i captured… there was on pve server some player, or even clan, that like i mentioned before got tore down because… well i dunno, if i even am able to say… ( i think if i search maybe i has screen but i never reported that one cuz someone else made faster than me )
Generally situation, dude plays on EL… builds literally big middle finger near sinkhole, and occupies all square around summoning place - then gets admin wipe

while another ‘‘builder’’ when started world politic situation, literally builded… damn i actually want to show but i will probably get ban of propaganda, so wont, but imagine big ‘‘leader’’ surname over all sinkhole
And then to claim thats its nothing its fine, they are abused when funcom deleted that nonsense - in global writing how game is bad and that will stop play xD

No limit to bases. I technically have 5 now but usually have 7 or 8. Thing is when I say base you think keep. I have a main base and what I call a drop base. They used to be places I could store food and drop loot while playing, now they are transtone bases. The bases themselves are 2 foundations bigger then the transport pad.
Figure since it’s me, one comparatively small base, and 4 tiny bases.
I suppose I missed the fact that the base that was admin deleted was PvE. “Housekeeping” on PvE is an interesting prospect. If you cannot bomb out a place - I really don’t understand how that would work. Too many hoarders and lifers that are willing to pave the planet.

In a private server, if they want to remove and ban you because you are not saying Zigge Zagge Zigge Zagge Hoi Hoi Hoi before drinking, it is their thing.
Official Servers are just private servers from Funcom, so prolly not much you can do when the rules are so generic you might ALWAYS be infringing one should they squint hard enough. Nothing new, most countries’ laws are made the same for the same reason.
I mean, you can be detained by BatLeo for farting …
Funcom rules are +/- possible to understand - build how you want but do not expand blocking other players
meanwhile private server is even more than you mentioned… Sit alone in far north and get blamed for playing with friend, that somehow is ‘‘all server’’ and then get ban because owner just disliked that you actually found out that his virtual soulmate breaks rules and are not punished, so to hide fact from players you are banned … meanwhile owner itself asks players to " kill funcom and mods who says that they dont want to upgrade mod "
So funcom private servers are way better, atleast they are actual company legal and should also be under laws, not some mental states, so example if i dunno some of them hates you he cant ban you without actual reason that would be walling players out, drawing swasticas, or similar issues… ethnic hate and so on, but you can build and play…
You need to check the logs or ask the admins. Have you by chance broken the rules? Its displayed each time you log in to the game. At worst see if someone built a small base near-by and have a treasury they can summon a level 10 purge and try to destroy your base unless thats been fixed, report anybody that does. Always keep an eye on who moves in. They also could have moved in close enough and then report you that you aren’t letting them “expand” even if you been there years before them but I think funcom should be able to investigate that because otherwise everyone who wanted a new land would just do that and that’s ridiculous. I currently have a player doing just that. He built a base nearby and cant expand to my side even there are way more space a bit down the river in siptah. I have been recording evidence just in case.
Understanding is not nearly a concept of “concision”.
Let me give you a similar example:
“Pepper should be used to the liking of the customer, but not to the detriment of other dishes”.
That means the cook can put pepper to the liking of the customer, but not so much as to not end the stocks before the next shipment. That is easy to understand, but that in no way tells the cook what to do or what to not do. If I am the manager, I can tell the cook is putting too much or too little pepper and still he wont be able to know what or if he is doing it, because the VERY UNDERSTANDABLE ASSERTION is not VERY SPECIFIC.
Ok, what is blocking other users ? Whatever a user thinks is blocking them and Funcom GMs agrees it is. So if the user is too triggerable and the GM is too agreable, you might have one server applying it one way, another server with care free players and unbothered GMs another.
At the end of the day, statements like the one you just made is the EXACT example of what I meant.

The rule is not “what you mean”, the rule is “what can be meant”.
I am not saying “you cant know” what you want, I am saying the rule can mean anything.

People talk at length with incredibly stupid ideas that would make the system worse than it already is, yes. That happens here all the time.
The only suggestions here that would actually make it better, are the ones suggesting Funcom be more open, clear, and consistent on their rules.
