Bug Description:

Improved Tanner’s Table has a boundary box that appears to be left on it from the initial design phase.

Place Improved Tanner’s Table.

Commentary:

This appears to be an oversight on the development team’s part. I’m surprised it never got reported as there’s pretty obvious clues that it’s not intentional. I’m not sure if it was meant to be on a platform similar to previous improved benches, however it wouldn’t make much sense to do so.

The boundary box appears to be a means for ensuring the table fits within the space, rather than design purposes. Also, there seems to be an invisible platform inside the boundary that the table and thrall are standing on. This can’t possibly be intentional as they’re both floating on the platform. Also, the boundary is both ugly in its design (why even have something like that irl?) and the bricks are misaligned on either side, indicating that it was a temporary feature. Additionally, the icon in the build menu shows it as having a platform, rather than just a boundary of bricks.

Probably because nobody uses the Improved Tanner’s Table.

I use to avoid using it due to size, but I was able to move around some stuff and fit it after the big “oopsie” with the foundations. I rebuilt my tannery location and got it to work. It’s actually much faster with no material loss… so it was worth squeezing in—not worth losing all my stuff though.
