Introduce an OPTION to: Disable horses, disable followers, disable chosen FEATS

You can dislike them but thats why they give us modding ability. If we want to do the work, its our time we need to consider (or many people have already done the work and you can use their mods). Somethings are fairly universal wants like the changes they made to set thrall damage/damage taken. Other things are more niche and Funcom has to make the call based on brand and based on what they perceive to be the ROI of that change.

Third time im telling You that many people don’t want to install mods, it will cut server population even by half. Niche? I don’t think so - what’s your data behind that? I know many people that would actually see that usefull but You just straight up pin it as niche without any data - seems a bias to me.

Well people who dont want to install mods are making a choice. The choice is work for someone else vs work for them. Not gonna speculate on Funcom’s view of that mentality but I can guess what it is.

As others pointed out there is an option to blacklist feats:

FeatsBlacklist=(“123456Feat1”, “123456Feat2”, “123456Feat3”)

Replace the 123456Feat1 with the FeatID of the feat you want to blacklist. If the player has the feat already, they will be able to craft the item still until they respec so it works best on fresh servers which shouldn’t be an issue for you.

I still don’t know if there’s way to disable followers without disabling thrall taking / crafting thralls.

…and i don’t see reason why developing such server option for followers wouldn’t hurt - speculation about developement cost is pointless.

It doesn’t matter that much since they are nerfing them again with 3.0 unless you spec in Authority/Charisma.

For some people i know it does matter, it would be more interesting to play without followers.
We don;t know how much of impact 3.0 will have and having option wouldn’t hurt again.

And don’t get me wrong - im open to hear criticism, what issuess that can bring but SPECULATING if that is profitable to develop is just pointless and not in our competence.

Saying that it belongs to mods is also weird - that way we should never ask for new content / options and just wait for mods? It’s funny when so many mod ideas actually end up in vanilla game.

It didn’t work for me, stables is still learnable on new characte (not an admin)
2514 is an ID of stables feat.
Do You think format is wrong or i am missing something?

this is the fundamental problem of any creator of whatever he is… certain accepts it other not.
It is a course to pass and I will always encourage to do it, it is the best remedy against hives attacks

but indeed it is a big debate, even more when it counts in years and not in months…

That’s the stable recipe ID. Try the feat ID which is 18997

I just tested and it works for me. I think the problem might be your “”, they can be different when using different language layouts. Copy/Paste this is ServerSettings.ini:

FeatsBlacklist=(“2514”)

When I use it, I have no stable feat:

P.S. As mentioned earlier, if you already have the feat. It will only work after you reset your feats.

Since this is going to be a private server anyway, you could just make this a written rule on your server: “Followers not allowed”. If you’re going to gather like-minded people who want to play without thralls, and everyone agrees to it, there doesn’t need to be a hard-coded solution.

Then, if some people do want to play with thralls (which may be an attractive option at least for a while when the stats update is released), you’re not taking that OPTION away from them. Because that’s what we were talking about, right? Options.

Admins can alrdy do this. I played on a non modded server that disabled lance feat

so if u disable stables no1 can use horse.

Yeah buddy i may as well just hire few admins and make them police in case some new players won’t use thralls to grind faster / do bossess and so on instead of having server settings - yeah that solves problem! Servers like that launch with like-minded people but to keep it alive we need new players from time to time.
