If you desperately want to play pre Age Conan it is possible. Uninstall the game and delete your save file. Reinstall the game without any dlc without being connected to the internet. Then load a new game whilst still not connected to the internet.

I doubt that there’s been much negative impact on sales from this. Nothing scathing on YouTube, and the Steam rating is still “mostly positive,” with the usual number of single-sentence reviews.

For officials flat answer - no.

You have the option to not play on officials

You can already customize private servers so much to get EXACTLY what you want.

You can already download and develop your own mods for solo play.

If the devs want to make pre sorc version available for private use thats on them.

Nope, the hammer system is worse and you’ll never convince me that it’s not. Not necessarily some of the other changes to the building system, just the new hammer system Why? Because it “gates” certain items and I’ll explain this a bit more below. Also, look at what I actually said in the post you just quoted. I said “for the most part” I didn’t say it was 100% better in every single way.

We don’t need the hammer based system to have a better building system. You can have the copy function without having the hammer based system. A single key could be bound to “copy” or they could easily implement a “build” mode that does not require a hammer, that everyone can use. You can have a pick up function as standard if you “own” the items. You do not need the hammer based system for that. It could have very easily been put on the hold “E” menu. They could have improved the snap-to function without implementing the current system.

One big issue with the hammer system? You cannot place anything that requires a hammer to build unless you can build that item. When you pick it up it goes back to its component parts, it does not pick up the actual item. This means if I have a clan mate who doesn’t have the DLC that I have and I want them to help me build a base using specific DLC building pieces that they can’t access because they don’t own the DLC, then I can no longer make the pieces in bulk, drop them in a container, and have my clan mate pick them up and help me build. They have used the hammer system to gate content. They’ve fooled most of you into thinking the hammer system is better when it was actually implemented to RESTRICT players. Of course they could have implemented the “gate” without making a hammer. The hammer itself isn’t really the problem, it’s the SYSTEM.

Game’s been out since 2017 in early access, that’s 7-ish years. A few weeks, or even months, isn’t going to have much of an impact on the overall sales or the overall Steam review rating. I did notice that the Steam rating over the last 30 days is lower than the overall rating so maybe there has been a bit of a drop recently. It’s still “mostly positive” but that’s a fairly wide range and honestly it doesn’t mean all that much since it’s only based on the people who take the time to write a review.

You don’t need to convince me, i’m all for it! The gameplay has been made so easy and unchallenging that a good rollback is indeed needed. Age of harrypottering was the steepest turning point, i did notice some changes before it but that was the point where it all went downhill.

And it’s not about the bugs, it’s about the game content. Where’s the fun and challenge when you can pick any of the “main” T4 thralls, knock it out with a couple of combos and have the breaking done in one hour? When i finally found Dalinsia back in the day, got her to my wheel and had to left her there for the night, that was interesting gameplay for you did not know if someone raided the wheel until you returned the next day. Now it doesn’t matter, the thralls are all the same and the breaking is done instantly so no challenge there.

A lot has gone wrong during these chapter years and it seems there’s no end. PvP has been destroyed so even my friend who said he’d never touch PvE switched there after almost 6 years since there’s no point in PvP anymore. Raiding is so ridiculously easy when all of the defenses have been almost completely taken away. High base with lots of climb proof fences? No prob, i’ll just fly over them with a bat! Base on a steep cliff and built so that you can’t place explosives anywhere? Well, the jar can be snapped on to ramps and such these days so NOOOOOO PROBLEEEEEM!

And soooo many other little things like the new attributes, perks and so on… It’s just sad what the game has become.

Yes, exactly. This is one of the biggest issues they’ve introduced recently. Thralls are even more disposable now because you can train them in no time. Same issue for pets.

This is why I keep calling for a roll back to pre-sorcery.
