Is it safe to buy from the bazaar now?

Is it safe to buy from the bazaar now, or do we still risk getting auto banned?

You know, when the bazaar suddenly does the amazing Crom coin math of 2,000 minus 500 = a negative number.

Did a few purchases, all went fine.

The history of bazzar bans was always on Crom coin sales . Other than that i don’t remember anything else than problematic purchases that solved also.

That’s it? Years after this first happened it’s still our own fault for not keeping track of Crom coin sales and avoiding the bazaar? Seriously?

So after several years, I’m still playing Russian roulette with my account if I want to give Funcom money? That is astonishing.

How did you manage to get that from people telling you it went fine for them? As stelagel said, the only time there have ever been problems was when there were special deals to buy crom coins. There’s never been any problems with just buying things at normal rates from the bazaar.

You answered your own question. I keep getting this answer (not just in this thread) that the issue revolves around crom coin sales. So in other words, it’s my own fault for not keeping track of sales if I want to use the bazaar. Isn’t that absurd? How about Funcom just finally fixes the issue of erroneously banning their paying customers?

But no one can tell me that the issue has been fixed, so yes, unless I run a tracker on Crom coin sales, yes I am playing Russian roulette.

Imagine if you walked into Walmart and you got arrested for shoplifting, not because you actually did, but because you didn’t check first if they recently had a sale.

Do you not know if you paid for Crom Coins in a sale? Do you buy them so randomly that you don’t know what you paid for them? It’s not about whether they had a sale - it’s about a specific bug that affected people who bought crom coins on special offer. Which has happened twice, total. That the error happened twice is certainly a problem, but it’s hardly russian roulette.

That’s simply not true, and besides, it’s still absurd that years after this problem surfaced, this is still a thing. Do you seriously think it’s normal that customers should be aware of something like that to avoid getting accidentally banned? No matter in what convoluted ways you twist this, the simple reality remains:

  1. Buy Crom coins in good faith
  2. Buy from the bazaar in good faith
  3. Get banned by a glitch that has been around for years and that Funcom doesn’t fix.

Yeah I know about it, or I wouldn’t have made this post obviously. That doesn’t mean I’m confident that I really know all the parameters under which it’s safe to buy from the bazaar. Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense for Funcom to finally address this issue where they erroneously ban their paying customers? Or do you think that’s normal?

So my question was: is it safe yet, and the only answer I get is, it’s your own fault, you should know better. So apparently, it still hasn’t been fixed. so my question is answered, regardless.

I bought items, a dog, some building pieces. No problems, as mentioned in the 2nd post in this thread. And there is a free item available :face_blowing_a_kiss:

Person A - That restaurant where a couple of people got food posioning a couple of years ago, is it ok now?
Person B - I went there recently and had no problems.

Person A - My God! How dare they! It’s like Russian Roulette!

Hey, apparently you’re just determined to find the worst way to twist everything. You do you. If you don’t want to buy from the bazaar, don’t buy from the bazaar. No one’s trying to say ‘you’re to blame’ - that’s just your paranoia talking. But if you weren’t going to accept any statements about it being fine, why did you even bother asking the question? You had already made up your mind what the answer was.

A false analogy. Thank you for all the absurdities and victim blaming, but despite that, you answered my question, in a roundabout way, so again thank you for that.

If you don’t like the answers, try asking different questions.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve completely lost the desire to look anything on the bazaar. I think it’s the first time in years that I’ve gone a whole week without looking at the baazar. I see on my Steam account and I lose all interest. And I think even if they port it to the Microsoft Store, I’ll still avoid any kind of transaction with Funcom in the future, maybe it’s just me being dramatic, but I’ve lost faith…

So you guys can’t say that this nasty bug has been fixed?

So instead you just deflect, deflect, deflect, deflect

It’s ok to just admit that it hasn’t been fixed, you know.
