Is weather (Hot/cold) going to be revisited in the future?

Question is the Weather / weather protection clothing being needed and values going to be revisited or is this the way the game is now with most gear with “average” hot/cold resistances ?

I realize that Isle of Siptah doesn’t really have climate extreme areas but what about the Exile lands or future maps ? Also doesn’t this remove the difficulty of weather from the list of things for survival ?

I’d certainly like to see temperature protection get another pass over at some point. I can sort of see why it was simplified - lots of people may not have much liked having to take two sets of gear - but I kinda miss having to think about temperature as something that had to be taken into account.

And I’d definitely like to see some sort of overhaul of how armor displays the temperature protection - the current system honestly feels less useful than having no indicator at all. It’s not so useless once you’re actually wearing the armor and can check your stats page (though even there the info is pretty meaningless) - but the actual temperature info on the armor stats and feats does not feel useful in it’s current state. Though, of course, these readouts don’t matter a great deal if the temperature system itself remains so easy to ignore…

I would like neck coverings and cloaks to maybe be added to address temperature changes but I would also like to see storms that change the climate during them also.

Yeah, that could be quite cool. Maybe something along the lines of the Accessory Wardrobe System (also used by Fashionist mod) could provide a way to add scarfs/cloaks etc - but then be able to have them have an actual in game effect on temperature. Obviously, whatever system couldn’t be something that requires too much work for people that aren’t interested, or it goes back to complaints about carrying two sets of armor, but a couple of accessories that you can add might seem more reasonable to people.

Storms could also be pretty interesting - though I can imagine that adding some sort of dynamic weather system might be quite a complicated task.

I hope so, it would be nice in neutral area’s being able to wear both
But at the moment you can go with epic armour everywhere…

I kind of miss the times you had to take hot and cold into consideration while you go out in the wild

Or at least make them a bit diverse in terms of temperature protection. Lot of them has the exact same cold protection as hot. It is a good to have both on the same armor, but they should not have the same amount.

In real life for example the sheperds have their coat on all the time. If the weather is hot they wear it as usual, the fur is on the outside. If it’s get colder, they turn the outside in.
But for me in the game it should be better to avoid this real life logic, and have roughly half the armor better at cold, and the other almost half in hot. The remaining some would be good for both.

In the IoS teh area around the Ruins of X’CHotl can be very cold. It’s better to avoid drinking water or anything giving the “refreshed” status while there.
I haven’t found an area that is very hot, yet. But I’m far from having explored all the island.

Personally I like how armours’ heat / cold protection works now. No more stupid whining on this forum about Turanian or Pictish armours that must, not should, give protection against heat or cold.
But how much protection each piece of an armour gives could be a lot more clear. Because when I look at it, I’m not sure on how much protection my character receives.

A bit of correction if you don’t mind: if you are cold or below, drinking water won’t cool you down even further.
Eating ice and swimming however will.

Now you say it I think I ate the ice I collected while farming black ice around the Sanctuary of the Serpent. I went from very cold to frostbite. That was pretty stupid to do I admit. But I was very cold and wearing the jewelled bikini from Derketo DLC. It gives minimal weather protection for the basic craft done without a thrall.

I didn’t know the game offered powered warming clothing

Carefully! I did the opposite: brought mulled brew to the volcano…
Was running up in the frozen north, I needed the brew for warming up. And I did not picked ice on the way into the volcano, but I though I did. So I drank a brew, and bam, heatstroke

It look likes I can’t make screenshots on my box with CE. Each time I tried there was a message telling Conan Exiles doesn’t allow me to take screenshot. Perhaps I don’t do it right. I’m still not sure how it works. On PS4 there’s the “Share” button. But on my XBox one S there is nothing like that.

Dude you’re killing me with these comments haha

How about a hairy person on a golden bikini ?
