Platform: PlayStation 5
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Single Player
Server Type: PvE
Map: Isle of Siptah
Server Name: unknown
Bug Description:
this map/game is not balanced at all. There is not a proper distribution of loot materials in a given area. I should not be able to loot steel bars, thick leather, and a legendary weapon from an NPC camp near a beginner spawn site (North-West spawn). The regular conan Exiles map has much better balance to it. Isle of Siptah is too easy for it to be fun. There isn’t any struggle to gather, craft, or hunt for rarer resources. Also, it is too easy to level up. I’m playing on barbaric and I level up by killing crocodiles that I can take out in 2 or 3 hits, and they barely hurt me. Barbaric level is still practically easy mode.
Bug Reproduction:
This is a complaint not a bug. It just feels like you guys created this and never made it better or fixed the terrible glitchy-ness that is Isle of Siptah.
I think it was designed that way. Everything about it seems to scream get built up fast and it’s design is something right out of battle royale games where you fulling expect a green wall shrinking. I think this was the pvp map. Hard to hide a base but enough variation to generate any sort of build you want. Most everything is easy to find outside of exiled recipes…heck Siptah came with the update that made t4 thralls no longer necessary and opened up t4 thralls to make exclusive items, if I recall right. The whole thing seemed to create an environment perfectly settled for pvp
I think it is meant for ease of play. There are always self imposed challenges. You don’t have to pick things up out of the chests. I’m currently doing a play through where I only use “clothing” as armor. Definitely hurts getting hit by a boss when you’ve got on artisan pants and some jewelry.
Maybe it helps to change some gameplay settings for better experience?
Make npc stronger, yourself weaker.
Longer nights for not seeing all loot chests or something like that.
