None of the items seems to be able to be placed on the second or higher floors of any building made. They give the error of Invalid placement or Visibility Blocked. There is plenty of space, there is nothing over lapping and its just these items.
I pulled the mods I was using, and it still does it.
The items in question are the Rug, the pillows, the table, the hearth, fountain, buckets, rocks, and hot tub.
You can place them with no problem on the first floor, but go to the second or higher, there are placement issues.
Is there possibly a coding issue restricting how high they can be placed?
I love the set and wish I could use them.
Are you sure it’s just the onsen set? I get that same thing from most stuff now. There was a bug introduced that causes issues with placement of objects. I confirmed it when I tried to move stuff around in one of my builds. Try crouching when placing the object and it may work.
The Crouching worked for placement. It also worked for interaction with items, for example, the pillow. You suppose to push E to interact and sit on it, but instead it makes you auto run backwards, but if you crouch you can sit on it. some something is not right, but I’ll deal with it like this for now.

Glad it helped. Interesting that it’s only an issue for you with the onsen set. It could just be the location you’re using (or that I’m on PS5?), idk. Regardless, yeah, I hope they fix it. On a related note, I discovered an issue with the Argossian chair. If I placed it anywhere EXCEPT directly on the natural terrain, I couldn’t get out of the chair. I would just stand in it. I put it in areas still on foundation, but unobstructed by anything around it or above it… didn’t work. I moved it out of the building area and placed it on the ground… worked fine. Too many bugs this update as well. About the only thing I’ve seen that’s (possibly) fixed is falling through bases. knocks on wood

I haven’t experienced this exact issue since I don’t have that many floors/doesn’t seem to be floor specific but I had a low ceiling in part of my build and I couldn’t place anything there with the error view obstructed despite it fitting there just fine and other things clipping through higher ceilings without issue being placed. However, crouching fixed it and allowed me to place it under the lower ceiling. Not onsen collection specific either as it was happening to me with the alchemy bench and cauldron.
Yeah, mine was a lower ceiling where it was most prevalent. I’m fairly certain due to the placing axis or whatever it may be called, causes this. Basically I think they messed up the alignment.
I’m on PC, I had a high ceiling and was unable to place, still crouching down to place the items. Now I have run into a new issue, unable to transfer uniform items from the avatar to any other location i.e. chest or work stations or back. all these glitches are starting to suck the fun out of the game.
