Hi y’all. Long story short a clan has claimed an area preventing others use a water source(lake) I’ve tried for months to catch the clan on to try to sort this out amongst us players but to no avail. Screenshots attached. Now I am not wanting or looking for any action done but contacting clan leader to request he remove some foundations to allow me to put some fish traps in, don’t want to get someone’s base wiped so please don’t do that. Even though it’s a frowned upon misusing the land claim system.
I forgot to mention, it’s a ring of foundations completely encircling the lake shore.

It wouldn’t be my first choice. The one I typically build around or near is a pond that’s north of the one that’s just north of your current location in your map screenshot. (2 ponds north). It’s just out of view in your current map screenshot. It’s shallow by comparison but has plenty of room for fish traps.
I call it Dragoneye since the appearance seems to be like that of an eye on a dragon’s head.
But on a wild guess, I imagine someone has already built some kind of mini-city there.
It’s relatively peaceful there with some boars and a king elk that wanders nearby. Also has a decent cache of iron ore.
All I can say is, for now … keep trying to contact the current “owner” of that particular “estate”.
I have to say though, the use of the foundations in that pond is rather pointless and it is a very deep pond. I know if nothing else, that is close to a spot haunted by undead.
One more thing: The use of wedge foundations in that situation is way too much overbuild.
