If you go through to the end of the story line (so far…) and then you go back to the beginning and visit a certain character (say to pick up an achievement you missed), he will acknowledge where you have been.
I guess it wouldn’t have been too much extra work (basically recording another line of dialogue plus programming the character) but it was still nice to hear.
