You release a 1.2gig patch and there is no information?
Minor patches are “announced” through comments in past major patch threads, thats why it may seem like they don’t inform them. Technically it isn’t an announcement, cause not many will find the major patch one and lurk through comments to find it
This is why they also post it on their social media:

Using the devtracker is a good way to keep up with the msgs posted by Funcom:

I am sure was more in it then a code change which in no way could need 1.2g of space, so really what else is hidden in this update. 1.2 g for a battle eye change really!!!
This dev tracker seems more like a chat site then anything else lol.
I think it may have been bigger than that. If I remember right doesn’t steam compress the file when your downloading it
I think it does, which would mean when it is unpacked and being installed, it’s a lot bigger.
I have tried following the twitter but the experience of the usual content is usually an exercise in extreme banality…
I realize thats coz I am a grumpy old man ofc. But surely the better way to communicate is through multiple streams using different “voices” some conversational some simply factual some in a discussion etc.
I dont consider it a lot of extra effort to cut ‘n’ paste the basic info them frame it in the right style for the medium. That would seem to me using the various communication streams wisely to distribute info to the widest amounts of Gamer demographics?
Also social media use 101 so why they don’t baffles me! But I am grateful SOMEBODY found the info SOMEWHERE at least…
Then go complain to the player volunteer who runs it own their own time. Or filter out the Twitter posts.
Just a big fat smil3.
Really a dev tracker the company does not even bother to run, a volunteer has to really wow… good for the volunteer and bad for a company not to run their own tracker. I was not faulting those that run it just that it did not seem like it was a tracker only more of a chat site.
