Like the title states. It’s getting out of control. For me at least?
That’s still an issue with the official testservers after a while, they need hardly a reboot.
Also a reason i do tests on privat, to time consuming so, and i hate to waite. 
Let’s hope they will restart so you get a better experience again.
I’ve noticed that even in single player mode, there seems to be a bit of a lag. Maybe the testlive version needs some optimization?
I thought that was the issue. I started out fine even though my ping is relatively high. But now. All enemies start attacking me from 10 meters away, my poor skeleton Mortuus is so angry he won’t stop attacking bushes, I blink off cliffs and die.
Main reason for this thread was to kinda remind them to restart the server…
Yes, lag may play, but i think not only, the legion warriors especially are very emotive and wan’t stop when launched in a kind of bersekr mod. Had also the case with one in a dungeon. After a while i walked simply away and he catched me up.
I don’t ever call it lag in singleplayer, and it’s all by moment. Don’t know exactly also when and if they adjust some files here and there.
Had still like in the past some small stutters here and there when entering news areas. Then a moment the last patch, i had like a kind of desync especially in fights, but this may be related to some tests in combat, and the whole new build and patch. However these last days it’s doing better again.
Still hard to tell, because we don’t do still same at exact same place.
Not restarting allows them to do a sort of load stress test. Once they gather the info they need on their end, they usually restart it. The idea is the more stressed the game gets in the save files and such, the more chances bugs have to pop up. Think of a car. You usually only use 20% of its power to do daily things. But the manufacturer will have it run at almost redline RPM’s for long stretches to test the stress on the engine. Tires are ran for long cycles on rough terrain , etc… same here.
Ah. Thank you very much. I honestly did not know that. Well, I hope all the bugs that do pop up are easily fixed. Man, I kinda wish they would make a pin about this. Here I was thinking they forgot or something… now I feel ashamed for having thought that. Thanks again for the explanation, it makes allot of sense to an uninformed person like myself.
No worries. They do restart it on occasion. But as a test box, it will always have issues tbh.
We know all that, but still, i can understand the touched players to.
And like said, for me one of the reason i avoid mostly to test on official servers. While i understand very well the why and the goals, it’s not a great experience, and still more time consuming when you want test some stuff.
Its was looking allot better last night when I played. Which reminded me of some things I can confirm now when looking back at the laggy pre restart time…
- Spawns of some creatures stopped happening (In mounds area, some whites and Cimmerians).
- My stamina drained what felt like 50% faster, stuff I could climb easily was unclimable due to stamina running out
- My thrall or pet skeleton would randomly fight and not stop till I ran away if it eventually decided to follow me.
- NPC’s would attack from 10-20 meters away and suddenly appear in front of me.
- If I am not mistaken, my food and water gauges ran out quicker than usual.
- The usual running then freezing and then teleporting 20 meters ahead.
I don’t know if this info might help with stuff but there you go.
