Legacy as separate Steam game

Can you please add CE Legacy as a separate game?

Not all of the mods were transfered and some never will, like Savage Wilds. It would be a lot easier for people who’d like to play both versions if Legacy were listed as a separate game. Right now, you have to jump through several hoops if you want to make it work. Manually copy files, download and redownload mods each time, etc.

Legacy should be a separate game in Funcom Launcher as well. And as for the launcher, why do you even have a mods tab in there if you can’t rearrange them outside of the game? The way CE handles modlists is extremely unintuitive and convoluted. I’m surprised this wasn’t streamlined with the UE5 update.

You can reduce the number of hoops you need to jump through. Rename the main folder for one of the versions, then the other will not download over it. Then, when you want to launch the version in the renamed folder, either navigate to [that folder]/ConanSandbox/Binaries/Win64 and directly start the executable, or create yourself a shortcut to it that will do the same.

The mods tab in the launcher is broken. It’s supposed to work, but the launcher seems to fall under Funcom’s control (rather than Inflexion, who is handling the actual dev work on UE5) so doesn’t seem to be getting fixed.

It should still be possible to rearrange mods outside of the game by finding the file ‘modlist.txt’ and editing that directly, - but I don’t know where that is located right now, because I’ve been running unmodded since the upgrade.

Oh, I know it’s possible to edit the modlist.txt. But I think it shouldn’t be acceptable to leave broken features.

I agree, but the problem is, the only devs currently working on Conan are Inflexion, who have no control over the launcher. Funcom, who has control over the launcher, has no devs focusing on this game, so doesn’t really seem to care that a (relatively minor, though definitely annoying) feature is broken…

I guess for me this will be another reason not to invest any more money in this game, until this gets fixed.
