Bug Desription:
I have a building on an island across from the Black Hand encampment at the edge of the desert-jungle border, at the top of the hill overlooking the jungle rotbranch legendary creature. The rotbranch doesn’t aggro to me unless I’m on the low side of that island.
When I logged into that character today (approximately 3pm Pacific US Time), I went out a door and the rotbranch (unseen by me due to apparent lag) was standing right there. I was dead before I knew it existed. When I popped back to my spawn point, I investigated and found that the rotbranch was just standing sentinel over my corpse. It stayed there for a good 10 minutes, unmoving, and not responding to attacks. (I think I threw a good 20 stone spears at it.) I was even able to walk up to it, stand immediately underneath it, and it didn’t respond to me. (I was also unable to retrieve my items from my corpse; no matter how I positioned myself, I couldn’t get the loot bag to reveal itself to me.)
I exited the server, then returned, this time to find the rotbranch inside my building! (Technically, its front half is in my building, and the back half is outside it…through a wall.) I was thankfully able to avoid it killing me a second time. I exited the server a second time, waited a good 10-15 minutes, and returned to find the situation unchanged.
Expected Behavior:
The jungle rotbranch stays at its spawn point on the low end of the island, and doesn’t aggro unless you approach it closely. It doesn’t roam the island on its own, and it always returns to its spawn point when it isn’t pursuing a foe that has aggroed it.
Steps to Reproduce:
I’m afraid I may be of no use here. This is the first time it has happened, and, as far as I can tell, this isn’t the result of someone griefing me. (I do have new neighbors, but I have no reason to believe they would try to drive me away from my home in that way.)
