That depends.
Your thrall will not engage any enemies unless there’s at least one player close enough to it. The server does not run the AI logic unless there are players nearby. For more information, you can read the wiki page about AI LOD.
As for attacking other players, that depends on the game mode and thrall’s state:

A better method is to put someone in your base as scouting. When anyone gets near the thrall they will move back to their spot and so the event log will show you when someone got near your base as it will be an earlier time than when you came by.
So at pve If I set two archers in the front and back of my base will the event long will tell me who visited me the next time I log in ?
No.
Even if I have them on Scout mode ?
Not who. Just someone because the returning home function does go into that detail. You would have to cross reference it with who was playing then (if your knew).
