Loot Boxes not respawning Items

If I loot a chest at an NPC camp, give time for it to respawn, and attempt to loot it again, it remains empty. I’ve read that closing the lid or destroying the box makes them respawn and have noticed that both work. But this is a new issue for me and my friends personally, as we’ve always just looted and left them and they would respawn. Is closing the lid the actual intended way to make things respawn or is this actually a bug? Because the lid eventually closes by itself anyway.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Loot Chest without closing lid
  2. Allow time for items to respawn
  3. Return to loot chest again
  4. Chest remains empty

The team is already aware of this issue and its being looked into, in the meantime make sure that you do force the chests to close manually.

Okay. Thank you. But I’ve recently noticed I did not close some chests underwater before i knew what to do, and they’re kind of hard to destroy how should I get them to respawn? should I restart my server?

Restarting the server should effectively reset all chests, please let us know if that’s not the case.

That worked. thank you. I’ll be sure to close all boxes and remind the players on my server to do the same.
